I haven't even commented on all of the cases in this thread-and those represent a tiny minority of the people being deported.
And in general.... yes. The current situation is more than a little concerning. Whether you think the US should allow as much immigration as it has, or if you think those currently in the country without documentation need to be deported-they're all human beings and should be treated as such. And yes, I do think that many of those who are here, especially those brought here as children who don't even remember their country of birth, have the right to apply for asylum and/or the right to work here. Some of them won't and should not be approved-but my guess is that these aren't the ones being found in raids.
And of course your question leads me to ask you: is there any deportation that you think is unjust? How much power should ICE have-and is there ever going to be a line crossed that causes you to think it's too much?
