    So disappointing. It looked like there was solid progress and a sense that things were slowly turning around. It's going to take much longer than we thought.

    I look back on when Illitch brought in Devallano and then they drafted Yzerman. It took 13 years to win the cup. Granted, the organization was in much worse shape then than it was when Yzerman took over. Just hope it's not going to be 13 years to rebuild again.

    It took the Red Wings 14 years after drafting Yzerman to win the cup. It took the Lions 67 years to get to this point. They're gonna be fine.
