  1. if I was a rich dude that flew helicopters in that area I would fly around them.... or maybe some people get one of those banner planes with a clever slogan?
  2. So oil is down over 30% per barrel.... when will the price at the pump go down? I kid.....
  3. Why didn't they sanction former Presidents?
  4. Greg Gutfeld on his show suggested the media was hyping up the bad news by showing the same thing over and over. He was corrected by his correspondent, who later was injured.
  5. I'm stunned at their low levels of vax rates among that group. China's locking down a couple of major cities and we could start to see supply issues again. They have an inferior vaccine and didn't go through their omicron wave.
  6. I'm ok with that because that's when you get into issues with pitcher usage. I'm pretty sure both teams would rather just go home and keep things on schedule. But i work with production schedules and whenever there's an blip I just favor doing what we can to get over that and get back online. Otherwise you are dealing with it indefinitely. Take the L and pound those budweisers.
  7. ballpark figure how much does that insulation cost? our back bedrooms get cold and are at the end of the "line" of our system. I think our room used to have a window in one location based on the brick discoloration outside.
  8. Given that we're now pretty much wide open and Omicron's features this isn't a shock. The real metric will be hospitalizations. Think about how many cases were detected just because people either had to be tested for work or whatever or because they followed CDC guidelines on close contacts getting tested? That's gone now. And with the rise of home tests being available how many are tested but not reported? The low case numbers that are published won't tell the whole story but the hospital situations will. I just hope our leaders are proactive with vaccination boosters to stay ahead of things.
  9. It’s dumb for two reasons. One is just the integrity thing of having a gimmick. Second I think it’s shown to not really do anything to end the game quicker.
  10. I’m thinking of the foam kind. Does it solidify like the stuff I’ve used for cracks and such? I’m thinking if you ever needed to get to the pipes or access the cables you would have a mess to dig out.
  11. I get this insulation ad all the time on social media with the foam where they show it filling up in the walls..... it's fascinating to watch. But in the video they show it going over the plumbing and electrical.... is that a good idea? Doesn't seem like it to my non handy man eyes.
  12. I think our method of having the faucet half open instead of closed shut, or wide open, was the correct one. Omicron was a steady load on our hospitals here, never reaching the stresses they saw in 2020 and early 2021, but it wasn't a cakewalk either. Could have been a lot worse.
  13. The importance of vaccines and the effectiveness of those vaccines. Imagine of Omicron had been 6-9 months earlier in the US?
  14. I think this insight is so spot on.... The sacrifice of the Ukranian people might save the US.
  15. I think the EC vote and January 6 is a good example of this. Something we took for granted as just a formality and paperwork was exploited, even if it was a futile attempt based on the law, but it's clear there needs to be stronger emphasis on "Look, this is what this actually means!". Sometimes you have to underline things.
  16. The guy I share my tickets with is kind of an old school person. No smartphone. Barely uses his computer. He moved from a desk job to one on the counter, he's 63 and done with stress, he loves this. He has had multiple heart attacks over the years nad finally quit smoking before the pandemic. He uses his smokes money on gambling. Wagers about $100 a day over several bets. He loves it. He says it gives him purpose and something to look forward to. last time I talked he said he's up about 10K overall in the time he's been doing it, about a year. He documents and does everything properly for tax purposes.
  17. Very high. By doing that you are going against the word of god. Their version of course.
  18. Do teachers in those grades ever mention parents? They can claim it’s lesson plans exclusive but when Susie comes home and tells mama Karen that Sandy in her class has two daddies….
  19. These are evangelicals who feel Liberty University just might be a little too liberal. Think Bob Jones University.
  20. This is all fun but I still have this feeling that there will be a major breakthrough by Russia. I’m not following it closely but could this be like D-Day where we are still in the “dying on the beach” scenario but eventually sheer numbers wins over?
  21. You don't have to convince me. I went to HS with these people and many are still my friends but on this they're nuts. It's just so ingrained in their beliefs there's no getting through. That Noah's Ark/Creation museum thing in Kentucky is a big draw.
  22. John Paul said evolution was a real thing in the mid 90's and I recall a scathing Cal Thomas article condemning it. Sounds like you had a rogue teacher in catechism.
  23. you are simply full of unadulterated unrefined shit
  24. you are asking why a bill declaring targeted murder is indeed wrong has bipartisan support and why people are criticizing a law that tries to erase gay people from existence?
