  1. Especially since he's losing a few of his beloved parking lots....
  2. Crazy thought perhaps.... But I wonder if Putin is at a point where he needs the West to start fighting to give him his 'honorable' exit? Think of the bully that has a knife in his pocket and he picks a fight with someone he thinks is weak. The weak kid is holding his own and making it very difficult. The other people watching don't want to get involved because they don't want to get knifed. The bully keeps taunting them to come at him, not because he wants to fight them but because he can then say he only lost because they all ganged up on him.
  3. plus he's my age and looks like an old man.... can't have someone my age looking like that. I remember when he was in high school. I went to a Christian HS and our old basketball coach had moved to San Diego to coach and word got around that one of his players could get drafted by the Tigers. I don't recall if the coach had him in high school or if he was coaching a local college team that Tony would have went to had he not played baseball. Tony was one of Bo's picks. He said he "wanted Athletes" and since Tony was a pretty good basketball player that meant something apparently.
  4. She has this fun demeanor and look in her eye, from reading the prompter I imagine, that makes me think she's on her third glass of wine and just "accidentally" bumped into you so that your hand touched her boob and she thinks it's kind of funny.
  5. I leave it on as background while I work. Got kind of a crush on Deena.
  6. Since there's a 6-3 conservative majority and this is a 1:1 "liberal" slot it's easy for some of the GOP to present themselves as bipartisan. that way if the time comes to replace one of the others they can play hardball and claim they aren't partisan, which will be a lie.
  7. Did you know that James Caan based his Sonny mannerisms on Don Rickles? And John Ventemiglia, Artie Bucco from The Sorpanos, based his on James Caan doing Sonny.
  8. The genius Ryan Ermani on Fox2 just now is explaining to the other two people that this all boils down to minimum salary. that's the big holdup in his point of view. This is their 9 am chit chat show where they just bullshit their way through the hour. So now a bunch of non sports fans are watching this and thinking there's no baseball because of $50,000 in minimum salary. He didn't bring up any of the other issues.
  9. Billy Joel's got enough for 2 new verses for We didnt Start the Fire. I mean seriously, the 50s' and 60's get all the work there then the 70' and 80's is like yeah, Watergate, Sally Ride, Reagan, AIDS, Coke... we're good.
  10. are you aware they were meeting for like 48 hours straight through Monday evening? They took a break and are regrouping on strategy. The owners made a big fuss over their deadline and had a press conference and everything.
  11. What I've learned is anyone who has a bible verse in their twitter profile is a piece of shit and not a nice person
  12. because the owners set a deadline and said that was their "final" offer. Supposedly they are meeting again today.
  13. Loving your country and continuously supporting Donald Trump are conflicting ideals.
  14. That’s exactly how my 21 year old does it. Only big games like UM/OSU gets his attention full time.
  15. this guy's a douchebag. They should have knocked him on his ass.
  16. He was convinced because either Jared or Ivanka or other free loading crony got something out of it like a loan extension, patent, or some other nonsense. Not one decision made by that admin was done with the interests of the American people in mind. There was always something in it for them.
  17. THey don't play night games here until late April now and even then they moved the times up to 6:40. Even a decent 65 degree day in May will mean it's 40 by 8 pm. Also throw in the NHL and NBA playoffs for sports fans and does anybody really watch baseball in April beyond hard core people?
  18. That could be for warmth.... I'm sensitive to this because I have a special needs child. He's unaffected by this. But I read a story about another child who had some disease where covid could be fatal and virus effectivity for him is a lot lower. When he heard about the schools getting rid of the mask mandate he started crying and asked his mom "Does this mean I can't go to school now?" There's a lot of families dealing with that. I'm not saying everybody has to adjust their way of doing things but just show some empathy because we don't know everyone's story.
  19. There will be some who swear to never go back, the same ones who burn Nike jerseys and whatnot. But a nice summer Friday or Saturday evening in July will have Comerica Park packed. And the winning teams will have fans back in those towns to a higher degree. I really buy into the theory proposed by one of the writers that the owners realized they don't need April games to be profitable. I wonder if you do the math are they even profitable during that time? The games seem more like a chore to get through. Kids in school, barely anybody at the park during the week, yet they still have almost as much cost to even play a game.
  20. You never know why someone is wearing a mask. Maybe their spouse or parent is immunocompromised? Not having to wear a mask and having vaccines is great for the vast majority of people but for some, a lot of people, it's still a nightmare for a virus as contagious as Omicron.
  21. It's not complicated. Person A says "Bomb their yachts" Person B says "That will lead to WW3" You say "No it won't" Person B says you are in favor of bombing yachts.
