nah....it's chili. It's a smorgasbord of flavor. speaking of chili..... I really wish I liked beans. I've tried them and just can't stand the texture. I miss out on so much. This is a good week for Chili. Wish I had thought of that.

what would have happened if a majority of the house and senate didn't rebuke the objections? What if Pence just didn't do it? What if he stood at the podium and didn't certify and went along with it? What does it mean when we say "he can't". Who would stop him? Would the Capitol Police have gone up there and taken him away and Grassley preside? I mean if there is nothing that can be done on January 6 then what is the Electoral Reform Act all about then? From my limited reading it changes it from a majority to supermajority vote to support the objections. So on January 6th, we have David Perdue and James Craig submitted electors that went against the voting results, some Dems object... but they need a super majority to end that objections and it's not there. It takes a combined 100 crazy people to fuck things up. A few nameless people in a state to not certify results, a couple of rogue governors, 4 members of congress to object, and a few dozen members of the legislature across the Senate and House to vote against the people's wishes.

His Chief of Staff has been cooperating/answering their questions and turning over documents. One thing though.... what if the GOP's play here is to get the dems all on board with "you can't do anything on January 6th.... it's all ceremonial" then in 2025 after some rogue state(s) governor(s) pulls some shenanigans and submits fake electors or fails to submit then the Dems are all on record as saying "We have no options here... Kamala can't change anything". It still comes down to the fact that in 2020 everyone did the right thing officially.... but what happens when someone doesnt? What if Kemp didn't certify GA? The GOP wants to create as much chaos and disruption so that some elections may not be able to be certified because ballots were destroyed/compromised, maybe polling locations evacuated for bomb threats.... anything to make it "not normal" and therefore they'll have to resort to the state legislator choosing the electors.

I see no difference between "Foreigners who don't like us" and the modern GOP. Neither group likes America. They don't get a pass for being on this soil or winning the birth lottery. Character matters.

speaking of Cobb... when is Ken Burns going to do another inning to retract his stuff on Cobb?

yeah but he once saw on the teevee a few guys from a 1986 video clip holding up a picture of Ronald Reagan and shouting some things in Arabic which he translated

I'm willing to bet I talked with more Muslims in the last week (since I was in Chicago for 3 days I have to extend it) than Archie has in his entire life. But go ahead man.... tell me what they are like.

Like in Apollo 13 when Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin go to sit with Jim Lovell’s mom in the nursing home during the flight. “Are you boys in the space program too?”

Damn I wish I had gotten to the medieval stuff. I was getting tired. It was around 3.30 and we wanted to walk around outside some more. I have sensory issues and after a while things become a blur. Should have planned better. All the Asian stuff on the first floor probably overwhelmed me. I can’t shouldn’t read everything especially without my glasses and having to strain. But there was good stuff there. I got yelled at for getting too close to one of the works by Pollack. I looked at it from the side to see how thick the paint was and I crossed the taped threshold on the floor.

But you also have some on the 'left' who won't vote for a centrist because they once used the wrong pronoun or maybe didn't explicitly condemn someone for making an off color joke in 1993.

This is an absolutely brilliant spoof on Rogan's show. It may only make sense if you've listened to him. For some reason they just play music for first 2 minutes. My friend and I listened together last night and were texting back and forth. They nail it so well. It's not SNL where the jokes are obvious but if you have listened to his podcast you will get it... basically say a bunch of words for 3 minutes but don't really say anything...

One of the bands I follow made an album a few years ago that had nothing on it. They asked their fans to stream it while they were sleeping. That went on for a bit before Spotify caught on and they used their "royalties", $20K, to fund a free tour.

After the '52 election Ike promised that he would appoint Earl Warren when a vacancy on the court occurred. Before that Warren was a politician, ran for President a few times, and was on the ticket with Dewey as VP candidate. He was never a judge. He was pretty active politically in the GOP. (Like Kavanaugh?) He also supported Japanese internment. I really don't see any difference between saying you promise to appoint an individual or a "kind of individual". Was Warren the most "qualified"? I don't even know what that means in relation to a SC justice.

Yes I did see the big red building. I forgot how much I liked Chicago. It's a big city but not too big. We had breakfast at Wildberry near the park, everybody suggested it. It was really good. Didn't need lunch. Went to the Art Museum to kill time and I've come to the conclusion that a lot of Art is basically the same thing as crypto currency and NFT's... something is great because they said it's great. An artist reaches a certain level and people just assume it's good and will believe any explanation. There was literally just a giant painting that was gray. That's it. Just gray paint. There was also a sink mounted to the wall... looked like a trough from Tiger Stadium or Joe Louis. It was art supposedly.

I was wondering how it was outside of the city. We got in Friday and walked around the mile and went into stores to warm up and shop. Didn’t really go outside of a mile radius from state and lake except for a ride up the red train to wrigley just to see it. I didn’t see a single mask less person inside. The only time we were not asked for our proof was Starbucks this morning but I saw them ask someone else. Saturday around 4 we walked down state street to the Harold Washington library. I didn’t know that’s what it was and wanted to see what the building was. Things started to look a little shaky. Getting hit up for money…. that kind of thing. for some reason I thought stuff was further apart and probably didn’t need rhe 3 day passes. I anticipated a few bus rides. It was cold but not that bad.

I spent the weekend in Chicago. They mandate masks indoors. And any place you consume food requires proof of vaccination. Starbucks. Restaurants. Donut shops. It was a good system. Of course I was downtown

2016 Lindsay Graham called. He gusheds on Childs. Seemed over the top but then I made the SC connection.

People act like that this is the NFL combine and we are measuring their time in the 40 but ignoring it for the black lady.

People who bitch about the pick “not being the best candidate” need to tell us who the best candidate is. Spoiler alert: it doesn’t exist. There’s hundreds if not thousands of equally qualified people out there. There’s no playbook or metrics that define the best candidates.

No other bridged collapsed. Obviously it’s a false flag.
