  1. I was wondering how it was outside of the city. We got in Friday and walked around the mile and went into stores to warm up and shop. Didn’t really go outside of a mile radius from state and lake except for a ride up the red train to wrigley just to see it. I didn’t see a single mask less person inside. The only time we were not asked for our proof was Starbucks this morning but I saw them ask someone else. Saturday around 4 we walked down state street to the Harold Washington library. I didn’t know that’s what it was and wanted to see what the building was. Things started to look a little shaky. Getting hit up for money…. that kind of thing. for some reason I thought stuff was further apart and probably didn’t need rhe 3 day passes. I anticipated a few bus rides. It was cold but not that bad.
  2. I spent the weekend in Chicago. They mandate masks indoors. And any place you consume food requires proof of vaccination. Starbucks. Restaurants. Donut shops. It was a good system. Of course I was downtown
  3. 2016 Lindsay Graham called. He gusheds on Childs. Seemed over the top but then I made the SC connection.
  4. People act like that this is the NFL combine and we are measuring their time in the 40 but ignoring it for the black lady.
  5. People who bitch about the pick “not being the best candidate” need to tell us who the best candidate is. Spoiler alert: it doesn’t exist. There’s hundreds if not thousands of equally qualified people out there. There’s no playbook or metrics that define the best candidates.
  6. No other bridged collapsed. Obviously it’s a false flag.
  7. Wishing all the best.
  8. McLendon is to the Tigers what Jay Leno was to NBC.... he just won't go away.
  9. She met a tragic end in the Hustler
  10. come up with the ruling you want and hire clerks to write a story to fake like you care...
  11. for sure... just pushing back on the "problem" of saying we need a black woman on the bench. The vast majority of our justices were picked due to their race and gender.
  12. this is painful to watch.... you wonder how some people can tie their shoes.
  13. You would need a distinct course on Christianity alone just to explain all the differences within. Otherwise it’s just very high level stuff you could scrape off a Wikipedia list. If anything make it a combo of history/geography/religion. Evangelicals live in a bubble. That’s by design. And to them it’s all normal. In their defense it’s totally logical to believe what they do because it’s been indoctrinated in them their whole life and they’ve often been sheltered from the world to not know any better.
  14. Until Thurgood Marshall every SC pick was chosen based on their race and gender.
  15. Don’t judge. We all can’t be George Clooney.
  16. I saw it show up. Is it a doc or show? Based on your Rec I will watch it
  17. But if something happens to Alito or Clarence on Biden’s watch then there will be games.
  18. I don’t think any drama will happen. Heck even Graham might go along. With no shift occurring it gives them an opportunity to be “bipartisan”
  19. and the religious schools. Defund public schools so that the most vulnerable people who have no choice are left with absolute crap. Charter and private schools can choose who attends. There will be a lot of kids trapped in an underfunded school district. Kids with autism, special needs, learning disabilities... kids who's parents don't know how to sign up for charter/private schools.... Some things are not able to be fixed via alleged market based economics.
  20. A Karen last night in GP used the N word at their school board meeting.... complained that her kid got in trouble for using it even though "they" get to use it in songs and such.
  21. My wife expressed interest and I figured at Comerica Park you really need great seats. with a legend like that I figured just go for it. I won't miss the money.
  22. If only Brad Pitt had been there
  23. His logic makes no sense.... "He's right but I didn't vote for them". Is it because he thinks they weren't good enough? Buehrle was good. Not saying he was a HOFer but he was damn good. O
  24. I really like it. Started a few months ago. I thought my wife and I could watch together but it’s a bit heavy for her. She thought it would be a little more tabloidish. The production quality is top notch. I was thrown off after season 2 when they replaced the actors. It made their final scene together much more memorable. I am a fan of Philip.
