  1. This has Draft Day vibes. 3 #3's. "I'm not coaching this team with no future"
  2. Green better not turn out to be great
  3. Yes. You count the other move up for this.. amazing
  4. Even Nick Saban is perplexed getting him before the 4th or 5th round. Am I missing something
  5. Right. Pitchers are just going to start pitching to him and he has to hit or bye...
  6. Welp. That does it. See you next season
  7. Good pitching and Tork. That's all you need 🤔
  8. The hitting will drop. Only because the hitting in the American League so far is way down and the Tigers are pretty good so far but not anything crazy good. Water will seek its level. But the pitching should be in the top 3 all year. Can't believe why the Tigers just don't go for a superior defensive club along with their pitching in Comerica. Strive for winning 4-3 games. Just live with not having a top tier offense
  9. That's why it's important to have no weak spots in the line-up. There will be one or two hitters slumping all the time.
  10. Godd the brewers suck too
  11. 13 k's in last 6 games
  12. If Carps, Tork and Riley are slumping this team is in trouble. There's not a lot of room for comfort in this line-up.
  13. The Alex Bregman trade hasn't help Devers out any. 0-19 with 15 k's. I can see this not working out.
  14. They have to get back into the chaos inflected games where they control the mode. Can't do that in L.A. Hinch and the pitching coach has to be mad scientists spinning their webs and turning the dials of their chaos computers vs. mere mortal baseball players. The season starts this week.
  15. It's going to be hard to repeat the chaos of last year. A lot of those close games went our way. Then again let's wait til we see more normal teams and not these tinsel town clowns.
  16. 320 mil rears it's ugly head. You hope to win one but you also can't be unlucky.
  17. What did he do during the spring. Right
  18. So now Tork's here to complicate things. I figured he'd have a big spring.
  19. Genius's have their quirks you know
  20. In theory he was a perfect fit here. That's why the Tigers went all in. But he's a pure pull hitter that took advantage of Houston's short porch and will do the same in Boston. Bregman doesn't have enormous power. Comerica would have frustrated him, anyway. In fact, he made the right choice.
  21. They have to concentrate on getting pitchers here. Sluggers will rarely want to hit in Comerica unless its godly money. Sign Skubal
  22. We did? I didn't know one person who thought we wouldn't win if not easily. Same for the Vegas guys. And pundits everywhere. I'm amused at all the condescending comments on these boards that casually say "oh, we knew it would happen with all these injuries"
  23. Veryzer was panned by fans and writers and I believe even Kaline as an announcer for having a pot belly. Thing is he was highly prized when drafted and did well in the minors. Just couldn't hit like he showed in early career. Also mentioned Danny Meyer. There was a pitcher who I can't remember refused to go out to pitch unless they took out Meyer in right field because he was that bad. Leon Roberts had ONE half a good season and then washed up after traded to the Astros..
