Dang after all the hope that late August run gave us, this series sure did bring it back to reality.

Yup, 5 run lead completely evaporated and all the momentum to the Padres. Winning this one is going to be an uphill battle unfortunately

With the strides Tork has made since returning from Toledo , his plate discipline is still pretty awful.

So tork hits .239 and strikes out 85 times in 58 games in Toledo and it’s time to bring him back up??? That’s a head scratcher. Why not let him finish the year there as what is he going to do again much, much better pitchers?

Ya because ALL of the other underperforming batters plus Mize and Maeda scream contenders??? SMH Hyper focused again man! This isn’t a 2 player problem no matter how much you seem to want it to be.

I’d put him ahead of Tork in that category. Tork is at least durable, Mize is often injured with sub par stuff. That’s brutal return for two 1/1’s.

Yet another extremely inefficient inning by Mize. He has to be at or near the bottom of the league in swing and miss and k rate.

That’s sad that we don’t have anyone to help him. I see no adjustments at to all, his ABs haven’t changed all season. Either fire the hitting coach or send him down.

Sinker, sweeper, change up. Any chance Tork, if he makes contact, gets the ball off the ground? sigh yet another strikeout. Is Toledo seriously not an option???
