  1. Those are just the screening questions to determine if they should circular file the rest of your responses.....
  2. Get the win tomorrow with Skubal and 500 for a West coast road trip is still a win.
  3. And McKinstry made one of the better defensive plays of the game.
  4. Combined 1 hitter. After the BP breakdowns against the Dodgers it never felt in the bag though.
  5. Sorry, I didn't hear that, could your repeat yourself?
  6. always amused when a guy with strong accurate IF arm make a terrible OF throw.
  7. Throwing strikes is a problem for our relief corps so far this season.

  10. More winning https://finance.yahoo.com/news/us-manufacturing-slips-into-contraction-as-costs-surge-pressured-by-trump-tariffs-144436638.html
  11. Well, Plato's Republic was probably required reading for any educated man of their day.
  12. Cautiously optimistic about that.
  13. it sort of makes sense - it the same fear Socrates had 2500 years ago: as voter participation grows, the electorate gets dumber.
  14. I think you could make a fair argument that objectively Harris was a better candidate - ran a better campaign in 2024 than Biden did in 2020. Hard to separate that fact from all the other baggage/garbage etc. We keep blaming our candidates, the fault is in the voters.
  15. Metaphor of the day award winner there.
  16. Unfortunately the state of play in a state with 15 electoral votes hasn't been much comfort for Clinton or Harris. Still a big hump to get over in the red states. Seems like a different century when Claire McCaskill was elected in MO. There is still a glass ceiling at the presidential level...
  17. The dems are in danger of becoming 'the womens's party.' Which wouldn't be a bad thing if women would just for vote for other women.
  18. I think Stewart did good work for the NYC first responders but other than that he's not a guy on my radar, but there are things Klein gets right. His critique that we can't get anything built - housing, transit etc., to serve lower income people largely because progressivism has created too many costly rules and given too many people veto power over too many things is one that has a lot of truth to it.
  19. Good on the bats for winning this one. Any time the pitching wants to show up, we'll be here.....
  20. Vargas just gave the pitching coach a pep talk.
  21. Seattle going to lose any close game with that defense.
  22. Initial Unemployment Claims are still holding under 200K so employers aren't pulling the plug yet. Ironically, the public perception about tariffs and that inflation is going to get worse is probably driving some increased consumer activity. That certainly seem to be true with auto sales.
  23. roadie tiger fan saves Zach a run - hilarious
  24. pretty one-way converstion by the look of it.
  25. Kid still has some work to do. 4 walks and 2 HR in 4 IP isn't going to cut it most nights. Can he learn it all on the fly?
