  1. 4-6 projects out to `7-10. If we assume the next draft improves them by 3 wins you have a 10 win team. 3yrs from 3 wins to respectability's not bad - if thats how it plays out.
  2. If they gets some guys back it will should be a game. If none of Corum, Ediwards, Schoonmaker are back, not so much.
  3. Lions with a great drive, then can't buy a 1st down the rest of the quarter.
  4. The 3 pts on the rekick after Lynch missed a FG going into half-time but Kelly had called a late time-out so he got 2nd chance was the difference.....
  5. Never cared for Hartsfield. Have only been to SF a couple of times since they re-modeled. MSP got a big expansion of the security clearance area which improved it a lot - security capacity was the biggest shortcoming when I was going there a lot a few yrs ago. DTW is very plain but fine - my one complaint would be that at departures Delta does a lousy job with the traffic management for the various lines - Pre-check/TSApre-approved/Medallion etc. Visibility of the signage is poor and it's never clear which line is which, so they have to have people out there telling you where to go and keeping people in the right line, which is fine but seems silly when they could just make it easier to navigate in the first place so you didn't need the help. On the plus side, in my travels I have yet to go anywhere in the country where you get your bags back faster than DTW.
  6. down by 10 to early in the 4th LOL - Edit: make that 3.
  7. or just incompetence. Reports about Bakhmut sound terrible. Amazing/depressing a population can be so cowed to just keep marching over the cliff. Reports of possible IRGC killings of protesters tonight are also depressing.
  8. Bertuzzi still not at near full tilt. Still expecting more upside there ...shortly. LOL - I no more than post that and he scores!
  9. 2019 is when they dropped the role, but I think the cages behind the goalies went away before that..... Wiki says they moved the boxes early in the 2000's, maybe not the same at all arenas.
  10. Buddha's PAC10 hopes are down 14 early against UCLA.
  11. I bet an old fashioned goal judge wouldn't have missed that one. Anyone remember when they were done away with behind the goal?
  12. I'll take wins against anyone. I'm realizing how much I've missed having the Wings be able to play competitive hockey at least some of the time....
  13. Hronek with the Wings second tally. He definitely seems to be skating better this season.
  14. could be, though an IF doesn't make a 100 throws in a game and is not trying to throw breaking balls. It's more a theoretical question though. Pitch coaching does seem to have helped pitchers pick up 3 maybe even in some cases 5 mph. That's not trivial even if it might be enough to help Torkelson in particular. Candelario's arm is no great shakes for a 3B - he could (have) benefit(ed) from little more zip. Looking back past Candy - Lugo et al were just fill-ins while Candelario was at 1st. Castellanos' glove problems were bad enough we never got around to worrying much about his arm which was decent in any case, and before that Cabrera and Inge both had plenty of arm, though Brandon's wasn't always accurate.
  15. Not sure average throwing speed is the best measure, as on most throws there is not going to be a close play. That said in Baddoo's case it's irrelevant anyway because he can't hit his target whether he throws it hard or not. Velo value is pretty much negated if the receiver has to move any distance away from the tag point to catch the ball.
  16. Baddoos arm is less weak than compeletly unpredictable. And he throws like a lot of guys that spend a lot of time in the weight room. No fluidity/elasticity.
  17. So if we have all these biomechanics gurus for pitching staffs would you suppose they could take a crack at helping an IF throw harder? I guess you hear about OF's working on their throwing but it's usually just about footwork and all, you just don't hear much about teams trying to coach non-pitchers to be able to throw harder. Seems curious to me. Whatever, it would be nice it could happen because Spencer's glove looks fine.
  18. No, everyone has been saying all year that the passing game is deficient and the pass rush is questionable beyond Morris. Of course, there are no perfect teams. M's not bad, but they are not a great team and their injury situation threatens to overwhelm the modest depth they have.
  19. That's the funny thing. If you set up a competition where the best best team is too likely to win, you won't have a league that is very much fun because the outcomes will be too predictable. You don't want team sports where there is no doubt in the outcome of the games or teams are able to have the kind of dominance that Serena Williams did when she was clearly the best player and just beat everyone. So most team games have evovled so that they have lots of random noise events that help obscure true talent differences from always controlling the score. (there is a reason footballs are funny shaped!). But the world still has a need to treat the winners as if they are more than just a pretty good team that had the best luck that season - which is all most teams can prove. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  20. So in case anyone wonders why they haven't been itching to play better non-conference opposition, this game film should be available shortly.....
  21. yup - whether it's stress fracturing or periosteum inflammation, surgery or rest, it's not going away quickly either way.
  22. It's not like they were sitting on Ivey, but he's gonna to get a bigger chance to show if he can shine.
  23. LOL- So the the ladder happened after Harrell had taken the ball away. Giannis' account does make Harrell look like a jerk, they could have shared the basket, but Giannis was probably still out of bounds also if he came back out once the arena was closing up and he was being petulant to the crew about having to finish some routine that exists only in his mind.
  24. I love Brantley as a player, but he had too much trouble staying on the field even when he was younger and now he's old.
