  1. Crazy 3rd period. Something like 3 or 4 minutes without a stoppage at the end?
  2. With PSU in the rear view mirror, OSU has a cake walk left. Illinois is left for UM but it's in Ann Arbor. Possible trap game but at least 60/40 both teams go 11-0
  3. you mean Twitter stock? But it's still Tesla stock that supposedly collateralizes his loans.
  4. Wings come out a little flat - give up a goal at about the 90 sec mark. Sort of right the ship a little and the 1st ends tied 1-1 on Raymond's first tally of the season.
  5. The game give M fans a glimmer of hope they can beat OSU while preserving the possibility of a meeting of undefeateds. Win-Win?
  6. link to freep story https://www.freep.com/story/sports/mlb/tigers/2022/10/29/detroit-tigers-mark-conner-scouting-director-san-diego-padres/69591321007/
  7. Only the very best bad fielders have the skill set to make routine catches look spectacular.
  8. Ukraine with serial attacks last night/today against the Russian fleet in Sevastopol. 3 ships damaged, one possibly sunk.
  9. given the size of the client base a couple of thousand in the ad sales staff doesn't seem like that much. And I'm not sure it's true they don't still need development staff; the technology both at the user end and the network end is contantly evolving so you have keep your product current for both the new consumer device tech and the evolving network evolution. You're losing ground if you stand still even if the user interface of your product remains relatively the same. Maybe Twitter's org is fatty, but provocative statements by Musk aren't any kind of evidence of whether it is or isn't.
  10. And the odds of Tesla stock regaining those previous valuations are about zero. If he hasn't already, Musk is going to very quickly come to the conclusion that it's more imperative for twitter to make enough money to support its debt service than to indulge his philosophical preferences. He really only has two revenue options: Advertisers or paid subscribers. Either/both will demand a higher level of content moderation than his supposed ideal.
  11. and a charter member of the Detroit Sports Name Hall of Fame.
  12. Speaking of Rasmussen - 2 game suspension added to the high sticking minor on Krejci.
  13. Wouldn't hurt as the Pistons 6th worst in scoring so far in the young season. Of course they are #1 in points allowed....
  14. Evening rivalry game for teams that don't usually play at night is an added wild card. Either, neither, both teams might end up psychologically drained spending the whole day waiting to play. Might be easier for M being at home, or might be more distracting.
  15. out of that group I think Rasmussen holds his own as a legit NHL player most nights. Lindstrom - not good, Hronek, not bad at some aspects but such a terrible passer - gives the puck directly back on his outlet so often that it practically negates any good dirty work he does down low.
  16. didn't look that bad until the third, but the Wings definitely lost it late.
  17. Rasmussen with 3 trips to the sin bin. Two PP goals for Boston. and the collapse begins in the 3rd. Now 4-1.
  18. Wings hanging in against the Bruins, sort of; 2-1 Boston at the end of 2. Hronek is still the worst passing D man in the NHL. Zadina and Veleno are both letting another chance to be NHL players go a glimmering. Hope not to see to much of either if the rest of the Wings' forwards can get healthy. The dead ends of the Holland legacy.
  19. LOL - Yeah - GM has managed to destroy all recollection of that from the collective consciousness.
  20. it all hangs on his shooting. In two more years he's not going to gain the athleticism to become the slashing threat to the rim is he isn't now. Time will tell on the other.
  21. but TBF, GM basically pulled the plug on the Volt once they reached the limit on the federal subsidy, they had no real commitment. Then they had to scramble to get back in the game once Ford and others started looking like they were going to move past them. Telsa lives and dies by EV, for good or bad they were/are committed. They may may failed wrt many of the things Musk personally hyped, but they have put more EVs on the road than anyone else. That part is real regardless of whatever Musk's public pronouncements have been about. My personal guess is that Tesla will survive even once all the other multi-nationals have their product on the market, but Musk is going to be a much poorer rich man when Tesla's stock settles back to the kind of ratio where all other auto company's stocks are.
