if it's something he has to travel to travel to Venezuela for then who knows if he could be back in less than 7 days. FWIW, he pitched really well in the rehab start, you would think that argues against it being a baseball issue.

Funny, he has never hit LHP better and nowadays with his preference to inside out the ball, he really does not like it when a LHP comes inside on him. He fouled off the two on the inside, but when Sousa left one on the outside he tagged it.

no, but OTOH, I don't expect them to continually take counterproductive approaches without adjusting. Last season we did see Baddoo make adjustments when pitchers shifted their approach on him - could be Torkelson is just stubborn, in which case a trip to the minors can be an appropriate tool.

Mr Tiger always said that when you step into the box you better have an idea what the pitcher is trying to do to you. Whatever kind of scouting/advice Tork is getting is not preparing him because they have been working him outside for weeks and he is still spending all his time looking for pitches to pull.

Torkelson takes two more outside pitches for called strikes to get in a hole and then Ks swinging at third worse than the 1st two. I'm seeing increasing reasons to think Coolbaugh must really be useless.

Vest cannot throw a breaking ball for a strike and he's a breaking ball pitcher. Not a good combination.

funny thing is that it sounds just like old time AM radio interference like an airplane flying past the transmitter, but the internet stream should be hard wired all the way so it must be some kind of funny sounding packet loss effect.
