  1. I get why he they don't want to give up on him - it's a big arm and he has a pretty good slider to go with the FB, but it's like the light just doesn't come on all the time.
  2. Miguel Diaz is pitching well in relief at Toledo but he hasn't been able to translate that in his previous MLB auditions.
  3. Cisnero was probably seeing his career passing before his eyes after the second batter reached. He should have been.
  4. OK. you gave him his shot. ENOUGH ALREADY!
  5. Cisnero?! I guess it had to happen - and he brings the tying run to the plate on one pitch. Hope his leash is really short.
  6. exactly - 26 pitches is getting to be a lot for a max effort guy like Hicks
  7. Guys always trying to get too clever. Morris always talked about not wanting to speed up or slow down the bat of a guy that is already either behind of ahead.
  8. Riley just got a pitch center cut but didn't get around on it. But he HIT the next one!!!!
  9. Jake's been one of their better hitters, and that AB certainly makes the choice look worse.
  10. there were a bunch of really stupid scores in the open week or so of the season and I'm willing to wager the league 'suggested' to the umps that they should put an end to that and thus we've definitely had an oversized zone - but it seems it's been every crew and every park so that's why I don't think it's any kind of accident. You always have the outlier ump worse than the rest, but right now I think that is superimposed over an already enlarged zone. The league sees the video and statcast data every day just like everyone else. The zone can only be consistently biased in any direction if the league is validating what the umps are doing on an ongoing basis. also keep in mind that the Fox/Bally graphic may or may not be that accurate. I haven't spent anytime comparing it to gamday recently - which is probably more accurate.
  11. Killer ABs with RISP by Vierling earlier and Haase just now.
  12. And Riley doesn't even have anything like a platoon split.
  13. don't they have three levels of MiLB for that? Just something I've heard rumor of....
  14. But Swiss Army knife interchangeability is *sooo* valuable to a team....
  15. Cue the circus music - that one's gonna cost two runs.
  16. Cabrera and Schoop in the lineup has put the Tigers in violation of the "3 black hole rule"
  17. Boyd's choice I guess. Or maybe the Card's system broke - isn't the deal that if one side want to use theirs but it won't work the other side can't either?
  18. Bah! Spencer got himself into a hitter's count and squibed it.
  19. LOL - I lived in MN for a number of years and don't think I ever saw a single Impala. I'd guess Hertz made a huge rental car purchase during the survey period of something......
