    you have to accept that you are going to make the occasional out if you run the bases aggressively because occasionally the other team will make the perfect play. But that's what it should take. What you should never see are easy outs - those are always screw-ups.

    When he first came up I remember discussion that the shoulder would take at least a year to return to full strength - that time has passed now, so one has to assume that the Docs are saying there is no reason for him not to play there again now.

    you don't even need 'grit' or 'edge' to forecheck, you just have to skate fast and hard be a little relentless. To me the 'attitude' aspect is way overrated. The Wings have had attitude guys whose skating wasn't good enough to make a difference in the forecheck and they were just as useless for helping the Wings overcome their possession game problems, grit or not.

    the only way the Tigers get out of that is if Keith gets them to throw home and then he gets back to 3rd and McK gets back to second. Could have happened if the Sox didn't execute, but Colt was not going to score.
