  1. I think Trump would have gone away. MAGA would have been rejected by the Republican party. The only reason it ever took hold is because he won. I do regret voting for Johnson in 2016, but that just meant Trump won Florida by 102,911 votes instead of 102,910. And Florida wasn't enough to swing it.
  2. Also. Another pro of abortion. It probably saved us from about a half dozen extra Trump spawn.
  3. My views on this topic are as follows. I am against abortion on a personal level. I am a single male in his 30s and acknowledge that the burden of any restrictions do not affect me. The best way to be pro life is to live pro life. While abstinence until marriage is unrealistic, abstinence until a serious relationship isn't. Speaking primarily to men here: anybody out sleeping around and taking home a different drunk girl of their choice every weekend should probably sit this one out. You can't be pro life if you don't live pro life. I am against overly restrictive laws on abortions for a lot of the things Oblong pointed out. They target a lot of gray area and other women's health issues. And right now, I don't trust the current GOP crop to consider that nuance in a fair way that isn't going to cause a lot of people a lot of undue harm.
  4. Barry is good.
  5. Start giving a shit about local elections. The GOP has run roughshod there for decades. Seriously, how much money was donated to McConnell and Graham's opponents in 2020 that could have been donated to help pick up countless state and local election seats that could head off the laws that will come from this.
  6. Rehnquist's backfill, yes. But SDO would have waited for a Republican. And do you think Obama emerges if Gore won? The butterfly effect gets pretty large to the point where this all blows up. Bottom line: it is a fact that Alito and Roberts were appointed by a President who won the popular vote. Anybody who says otherwise is repeating crap they heard on MSNBC.
  7. Roberts and Alito were elected in Dubya's second term, which he won the popular vote.
  8. Yeah, the next few months will be a good time to stay offline.
  9. There is an active voter fraud case in south Florida right now for something along these lines.
  10. Got informed yesterday somebody I was around earlier in the day had tested positive when he got home, so... we'll see if the outdoor ventilation and vaccines do their job I guess.
  11. Still waiting on a GOP politician to rock a Cowboy hat who doesn't look like a complete tool doing so. And this includes some classic Reagan photos.
  12. Trump's mouthpieces are tough competition.
  13. I'm gonna miss him in Tarantino movies... The Bond cameos were meh.
  14. There will still be fans clamoring for his call up by the end of May. My favorite brand of ignorance.
  15. Navigato was backfilling Eric De La Rosa, who is on the IL. Not on the transactions page, but is on his player page.
  16. Short and Clemens are already on the 40.
  17. Erie with some transactions... Zac Houston to "The Development List" (Is this new name for Temporarily Inactive? Extended Spring Training?) Markus Solbach off the IL. Andrew Navigato up from West Michigan. Part of me wonders if Navigato is backfilling somebody who may be going to to Toledo to backfill Kreidler... or maybe not, since one of the Castros is likely going down on Monday with the 26-man deadline.
  18. Oh, where to begin... But there is a fine line between "influencer" and "expert," and she is very clearly the former. Perhaps a trailblazer in the "Overhype Tigers prospects" contagion that is all over social media. Anybody who cites "career high in innings" for a first year player and gets treated as an expert just gamed social media algorithms. Vociferously defending Sakowski is a scarlet letter for me too. There's several other things I won't get into here, but I'll just say I had some suspicions about the roots of favoritism toward certain players confirmed.
  19. FYI, you can go to any of the affiliates' roster page and get organizational transactions so you don't have to get your transaction news from this fraud. https://www.milb.com/toledo/roster/transactions/detroit-tigers This is new this year.
  20. Warren Davidson was inducted to my High School's Hall of Honor last week.
  21. Polanco should have been out at first. His left foot was out of the runners lane when he was hit by the ball. By rule, out.
  22. Capitalism will keep Twitter from going too far further down the cesspool path. The threat of ad revenue will be enough.
  23. More importantly we can say it here. The episode probably ran a bit past 10 on purpose.
  24. MTG looks like Lee Corso.
