  1. One could say that, but it isn't like draft money goes unspent. Revenue sharing (and tying draft picks to revenue sharing) does create some f'ed up incentives though.
  2. It's also less tanking for a pick... tanking for pool money is more like it.
  3. The Tigers just spent five years doing it.
  4. The real reason for drafts is to reign in costs. There's no cynicism about it. That's the straight up history of the draft and the reason it exists.
  5. The Draft Lottery presented by Roman.
  6. Consider the source
  7. So the Media Bias Chart has Rogan's podcast left of center. All over the damn map, but very low on the reliability scale.
  8. So many getting infected. Don't they recommend waiting a few months after infection to get boosted?
  9. Agreed
  10. I've probably moved to the center not the left. I've voted for Republicans as recently as down ballot 2016. I don't embrace a lot of the left wing ideology, but Trump's emergence and the loons in his wake have exposed a lot of the right wing ideology as fraudulent. I like to call out nonsense on all sides, since irrational polarization is at the core of our problems right now.
  11. My biggest issue with them sending the tests out is the false negative rate of antigen tests. For example, I talked to a friend who was feeling a bit under the weather before Christmas, fully vaxxed and boosted. Took a rapid antigen before flying up to visit family, negative. After landing, felt awful, got a PCR and was positive, quarantined and didn't expose family. N=1 anectdote, but I've spoken to many others whose antigen didn't detect their eventual covid.
  12. Hulu
  13. I am sure the nominee will be qualified, but that doesn't make the Democrats' obsession with identity politics any less icky to me. Don't both sides me on this as obviously the GOP has their own issues here. I think it just drives back to using data analysis, and demographic data is just what they have to play with.
  14. Only Murders in the Building was good. While I'm a fan of Martin Short and Steve Martin, I generally expect a cast with big names to phone it in. They did anything but. Funny, well-written, suspenseful. Recommend.
  15. I've had multiple people who had COVID tell me how awful it was to quarantine for a week.
  16. That link doesn't show anything. Tucker Carlson's credibility is nil.
  17. I know somebody who dated one of her sons in high school. I noticed that person unfriended on Facebook me at some point since I started ranting and raving about how fucking stupid everybody was being during COVID, so probably sees eye to eye with the Palins.
  18. Seems to be the difficulty with getting Gaetz on underage charges is the victim lied to them about her age. Don't get me wrong. I hope he gets his comeuppance, but I do think this has something to do with the delay.
  19. Cheryl is vaxxed.
  20. Neil Young also has some wacky antiscience songs on spotify. Not antivax bad, bit anti-GMO stuff isn't exactly backed by science.
  21. Part of the etc. I have a vaccine mandate in my house fwiw.
  22. Employers, hospitals, etc should be able to mandate. Government mandates are a bridge too far. What is going on in Florida and other states where employers can't mandate is just as oppressive as a mandate.
  23. I think you are thinking of RBG and Scalia.
  24. I see Lynn giving play by play on MSNBC often, so I offered him this challenge.
  25. Tapper is underneath Cooper/Hayes/Maddow too. They are all far enough outside of the green that I don't find it worthwhile to watch.
