  1. I won't stand for Woodbery slander. He ALWAYS bounces stuff off of me before reporting on things like options and roster minutiae. He stands out in that regard over a McCosky.
  2. You've been perusing my spotify history I see.
  3. I don't know if it was well reported, but in the media gathering Harris had to discuss the new dimensions, he had some lines that really impressed me. He reminded the media that park effects are prone to randomness and take a while to stabilize. Somebody asked about a three year window if that was appropriate, to which Harris said usually not that long, depends on the amount of balls in play. He also said they now have access to weather data to help parse data and evaluate the park factors. I have to think that data is being used to evaluate players and parse stat lines too. Music to my ears.
  4. Agreed, and I see you already saw my tweet. If you are trying to build a development culture, Chapman ain't the guy.
  5. Yeah, I doubt the GM is actively involved in 9th round picks.
  6. If you are still teleworking or even hybrid, check out your auto insurance policy and see if you can lower your premium for reduced commute.
  7. Because they are draft eligible. They are being exploited in June.
  8. 100% Remember that when sharing/retweeting Flipkowski/Rupar etc amplifying these freaks.
  9. One of their signings is from Colombia. They signed a kid from New Zealand last year. Have one from a few years ago from Italy. Have signed many over the years from Mexico, Panama, Austrailia... Bojarski was from South Africa. Lest we forget Roberto Campos is from Cuba.
  10. Len Kasper grew up a Tigers fan. Joe Davis grew up a Tigers fan and Ernie Harwell is his biggest inspiration. Joe Block grew up a Tigers fan.
  11. Morris was awful, glad he's gone. Monroe has improved significantly. I am hoping a Granderson or Maybin is brought on for about 15-20 games. Also don't forget Shep's rant after Game 162, almost as if he was on his way out.
  12. There's a name on Table 2 of this Tweet who hasn't been affiliated with the Tigers for 13 years now, does some broadcasting for TBS and may want to add some game calling to his mantle (even on a part time basis).
  13. My stack got out of control during COVID, especially when I had to bring all my work stuff home. Add in that I have a bunch of stuff from the alumni club that I need to hand over to the next wave, and it was a combination of aircraft part drawings, performance reviews, EOB's, bank statements, and alumni records. Just a complete mess.
  14. Opening day is against the Rays, who will likely throw Shane McClanahan. I doubt Maton is in the lineup, and Meadows is that high up if in at all.
  15. Anybody else have documents in disarray and spend a lot of the last few days trying to organize and reign them in?
  16. I really just want to reiterate that throwing money after the top ranked IFA prospects may not be some panacea. Evaluation is more important. Also, given the morass and corruption there, there may be a moral high ground in not getting too dirty.
  17. It has been addressed. Metzler is overseeing the process now. But these agreements are years in advance, and there's really no way to reverse course in the time since Harris was hired. Even next year's crop is likely to be heavily influenced by the Avila-era course. Still, 4 in the top 40 when there are 30 teams to compete against is a pretty solid crop, if you assume that international prospect rankings are worth anything. Even the Badlers of the world will tell you they aren't. The true gains from an overhaul would be felt from being able to identify bargain players that don't count against the pool anyways, similar to what the Astros did with their pitching. The Tigers really haven't hit on many of their bonus babies yet.
  18. This is not a defense of Biden or Trump, re: documents, but I have a feeling there was a lot of document disorganization for people with security clearance in 2020. Records laws don't really account for an abrupt shift to remote work. I've had printed out aircraft drawings in my spare bedroom for almost three years now. They aren't classified at all, but the type of thing that really shouldn't be in my house.
  19. He was atop my list too, tbh. I don't mind hanging on to him. It's not like a Miggy Situation where you are stuck with him and can't cut him if he struggles.
