Valdez and Skubal both go deep into games on a regular basis. The other 3 starters, not so much. IMO, Hinch needs to seperate the 2 workhorses so the BP doesnt possibly get overworked when Flaherty, Mize and JV pitch. Those 3 may get up into the 6th inning on some nights but there's always the possibility of only getting 5 innings out of them.

Another reason we need to separate him and Skubal. I see Hinch has them penciled in 1 and 2 the first week. He'll need to adjust that fairly soon. These guys, and the bullpen, are going to lead this team to a top pitching staff in MLB. This could be a very, very special season. A 100+ win season.

Makes sense but Holmes is very unpredictable. Whatever most people think he'll do isn't what he ends up doing. We need defense...a few positions. Edge, secondary help and a LB. Our defense cost us a playoff appearance last season and we let a few of the older guys walk. Load up on defense and find any remaining OL thats left in free agency. Or....trade for one.
