    Take away the guaranteed money a team promises a player and I would agree. Its an agreement to pay for services. A player signs a contract and they should honor it. The same as a team honors the guaranteed money. Has a team ever refused to pay that part of a contract? But there has been players, under contract, who refuse to report without a new agreement. Which is usually more money...

    Players who sign contracts should never be allowed to hold out. They should be sued for breach of contract. I've yet to see a team refuse to pay a player under contract and just say..."they're not worth the money we agreed to pay them...."

    Jake broke for home in a really good job of base running. There wasn't a play at home and like you said, nobody was covering 1st base. It was a hustle play for Detroit, all the way around.

    So, the cupboards were bare when Stevie took over....I agree. But is it asking too much to even make at least one playoff appearance after 9 years? I know we had some unlucky draft positions but...9 years? Is his seat getting hot?

    McGonigle was given a hit on his groundball to 1st base that knocked in Jake? Shouldn't it have been a fielders choice? Or...it would have been if the 1st baseman threw home?

    Pistons are 6-2 since Cade got hurt....7-2 if you count the game he got hurt, he only played a few minutes in that one.

    Toronto had a lane violation on one of their free throws, nullifying it. Does that go down as a missed free throw?

    Either...or. A few less calls against us ends up the same thing. And yes, just making the FTs that were called definitely would have won the game for us. But even with the missed free throws, a couple of calls going the other way ends up with the exact same result. A winnable game...and Boston lost. I guess that's our saving grace, another game off the magic number.

    I guess so. Just last night, SGA had 25 free throws. The entire Piston team had 23 free throws. That's the ballgame right there.
