  1. People actually believe this guy???
  2. 22 turnovers. Teams that turn the ball over 22 times probably hardly ever win. I'm glad they won but they have some serious cleaning up to do.
  3. Pretty cool slow mo;
  4. Beating the teams you're supposed to beat is the sign of a good team. Chicago will (may) be really good with a couple/few good drafts.
  5. I thought Trey was back? Guess not...
  6. 4th quarters can be a problem for tired teams. Stay close and finish them off late.
  7. Good call. Its hard to believe he's only 26 years old. I would probably want him over Suarez or Bregman. Suarez too many swing and misses and Bregman too expensive for too long, probably.
  8. Very true. I would have no problem with the Tigers concentrating their resources on pitching. No Morton or Cobb types, quality arms over quantity. Even though, IMO, the Tigers will go after Suarez. I'm not saying I want them to or they should, I just think they will. It would give me something to complain about next summer...🤣🤣🤣
  9. The Tigers desperately need batters who can put the ball in play. Whether they're All Stars or not is meaningless, the All Star game is just a popularity contest. But we need guys who can knock in runners from 3rd base with less than 2 outs. Hopefully, Riley is busy this winter working on that swing that struck out over 200 times. I just want the Tigers to sign a starting pitcher, a couple of quality bullpen arms and a position player...maybe a 3rd baseman? Or a centerfielder? Even though I really like the defense from Meadows...but he HAS to hit.
  10. I watched the Rams game. It was a really good game. Stafford with 3 turnovers was surprising. The Bears being the #1 NFC seed this late in the season is the surprise of the year. That Washington-Denver game last night was really good. Bo Nix is the real deal...
  11. Playing the tired Hawks tonight after they played, on the road, yesterday. Double OT. They better be ready to run, run and run. 😆😆
  12. Lmao...if he (and Chris) bring in several cheap, injured or prove-it type free agents, you're right. If he brings in some quality players, maybe not. But come on man....Charlie Morton? Chris Paddack? That is scrapping the bottom of the barrel. I didn't complain about Finnegan. Or...maybe just a little...lol I really think the Tigers will sign Suarez. Whether any of us like it or not.
  13. The Lions need help to make the playoffs. We're closer to the Packers but the tie they had with Dallas and them having the tie breaker against us is a problem. I want the Lions to make the playoffs, losing to Dallas would make that much more improbable. If we win, I would prefer Chicago to sweep Green Bay so maybe we could pass them. But yeah, the Lions need to go 4-1 to have a realistic shot. And since we're 3-4 in our last 7, I don't know if we can.
  14. Thats pretty much what he was saying. Win this week and win in Chicago. But we cant win our way out of it if Chicago wins every game until we play them. They're 2 games ahead of us, we need other teams to beat them. Chicago winning in Philly makes me wonder if theyll lose.
  15. Makes sense, a 34 year old player looking for his last contract.
  16. The Lions play the Steelers and Bears. The Bears are the leader in takeaways in the NFL, the Steelers are #2.
  17. Yeah, I saw the stats of the Tigers record in Skubal starts the last 2 seasons against games he didnt start. We were barely a .500 team in games he didnt start. We don't make the playoffs the last 2 seasons without him. But again, that's a whole lot of money. Maybe A position player isn't as important as the best pitcher in baseball but how about 2 or 3 position players and a couple of very good arms for the bullpen? Harris (and Chris) are going to do whatever they think is best for the entire franchise. I will be quite surprised if they sign Skubal, not that I don't want them to but because of the money involved.
  18. IDK, free agent prices can be franchise killers. Signing Skubal would be great but a guy who pitches every 5 days, for 100 to 110 pitches? I would rather have a few shut down relief pitchers and a couple hitters who make contact. And to go along with a couple of #2 and #3 type pitchers. Harris doesn't seem the type to put all his eggs in one basket. But....we'll see.
  19. They won't sign him and won't trade him. After he walks, we'll hear stories that the Tigers offered him a fair contract and he refused it.
  20. Just my 2 cents worth but if the Tigers plan in spending 40 million dollars or so, I would rather it be on pitching.
  21. True. There's always an old and maybe expensive Suarez.
  22. There goes Stafford's chance at an MVP award. 2 picks today, one a pick 6 and a lost fumble. He's human after all.
  23. I would rather take a risk with Zack or some rookie over giving a 32 year old 170 million dollars.
  24. The Cowboys are really bad defensively. At least, last I heard, they were near the bottom of some very important stats. Maybe Gibbs will run for 200+ yards...😆 No, Goff will pass for 400 yards;
  25. So his price would start at $30M per year? Again, hard pass.
