The Tigers actually played decent against the Yankees this year. When we played there, one of our losses was in a rainy mess. Just going by memory, we played them close there. And we split the 2 games here but won at that little league game. It's when we started our run, I think.
Somebody on Twitter said if we replace Carpenter on the roster for game 5, he's not eligible for the ALCS if we win. I thought we re-set the roster for every series?
Is Tarik Skubal the 2024 version of the 2012/13 JV against Oakland?

Tonight is pretty important. You just know for a fact that Cleveland wants another shot at Skubal. And their fans would be going crazy. Yes, the Tigers need to win this series tonight.
Just contend in 2024 and I'll be happy...check
Just make the playoffs and I'll be happy...check
Just win a wildcard series and I'll be happy...check
Just win a divisional series and I'll be happy...to be continued.....
I could see teams going with 3 SP and 2 games of BP usage. The key is having SP who get you deep into the game so the BP can mostly rest on their starts. But the Tigers also seem to be using closer by committee. I remember teams trying this but I don't know if they were successful very often.
