He's done better recently but pretty inconsistent so far this season. If he's healthy and effective, he could really help out.

But I've heard Hinch say he does everything he can to win the current game and to worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Several times I've heard him say that when questioned about his BP usage.

Runner did his best to force an error. That is a very hard play for a runner, you get winded quickly.

He did say before the series that Foley wasn't a good match up against Cleveland. But I think he meant the middle of their order. That's a dangerous offensive team, very good.

Riley Greene has baseball instincts. That can't be taught.

I can see sending a runner if they have a chance of scoring with 2 outs but I've seen Cora send many runners this season who were dead ducks. If the only chance to score is if the defense doesn't execute fundamentals, especially against 1st place teams, they shouldn't try it.

Send Maeda down to Toledo to "find his stuff." Why allow him to lose games every time he pitches? Just because he has a big contract? Let Manning take his spot in the rotation. Manning will probably be up here if/when we trade Flaherty anyway. Or is there some other Toledo/Erie SP ahead of Matt?
