  1. Oh, I see the confusion. I didn't mean Perez is great or a great player. I meant he was a great option for the bench, depth. He can hit a little, quick on the bases and he has a little pop in his bat. As an every day player? Not so much. But he's capable of filling in if necessary. If it were a choice of him over McKinstry? Perez would be my pick, I hate seeing McKinstry playing the infield. Ever.
  2. I'm not a McKinstry fan. I know Hinch loves him but he should be gone. We have plenty of backup infielders and his weak LH bat is redundant. OF backup could be Perez and Carpenter. The player I like best in RF is Vierling. So yeah, 6 outfielders if you include Ibanez, who can also play 2nd base and 3rd base. That's a decent bench.
  3. His defense is fine, he struggled when first called up but he's servicable. A strong bench is hard to build these days, the Tigers could do worse (Baddoo).
  4. Great bench depth. Switch hitter with a bit of pop who can also run the bases.
  5. And Jason says we're within 5.5 games of a wild card. Just keep winning games.
  6. I was worried the Tigers would be tired after getting in late and the Angels having Monday off. But..these kids are young. And hungry. Winning is fun...
  7. I think that rule is worse than limiting strategy. It would lead to a boatload of injuries. When a pitcher becomes fatigued, injuries may go up.
  8. I looked up Rendon's contract. Holy cow, yes, that's the worst contract I've seen. The Angels agreed to terms with Rendon on Wednesday on a seven-year deal worth $245 million with no deferred money, a full no-trade clause and no opt-out.
  9. I didn't know Rendon's contract. Some of the money to veterans around the league makes me appreciate the youth movement more. I guess the Tigers have been building it the right way. Patience paying off? I sure hope so.
  10. Some of these guys are Avila's picks.
  11. Skubal pushed back to the Boston series. I love everything about that.
  12. Worse than Javy?
  13. So....about replacing all of our hitting coaches? Let's put that on the back burner....for now. 😅
  14. Building up their confidence. And players finally healthy and producing. But our pitching has been amazing. For all the hate Hinch gets, he's pressing all the right buttons lately.
  15. Then he referenced another stat and Gibby just said OK. It seemed like Gibby was mocking him a bit.
  16. Jason explaining the FIP stat. Gibby don't get it. JAKE!!
  17. Don't pitch the that Trout guy. He used to be pretty good.
  18. Not a fan of early starts but this is ridiculous. 😆
  19. Boys will play just about anything. I remember playing curb ball when I was a kid...
  20. Got it...it's called Warehouse Games;
  21. I heard wicket. But there's also a "magic hole"
  22. No, they're not cricket paddles, they're baseball bats. I think these guys are all stoned.
  23. Yeah, I went to watch it right when the tarp was being put on. It wasn't raining yet...
  24. But it's indoors, with the ball hitting the roof. And the pitcher doesn't bounce the ball, I thought they bounced it in cricket? They hit a foul ball and about 8 guys go running around in different directions.
