  1. They didn't win with the team that picked them. If I was a great college player, I would want the Lions to pass on me. I would happily make less money elsewhere. Competitors like to win, not lose. Year after year after year...
  2. If the Lions don't take Hutch and he slips to #2 or #3, do you think he has to play for free? Money will be there, success may not. Unless you think playing for a loser team is a success?
  3. Tuesday afternoon? Pushing Lions defenders...
  4. They ruined any possibility of a successful career by playing for Detroit. Money...money...they made it. Strawman.
  5. Again, money. If they would have slipped a spot or two and gone to a real team, they woulda still gotten paid. You make no sense defending this poorly run franchise
  6. It's his only ammunition, blame the player. Sure, Calvin is a hall of famer. I bet he would trade that for a championship or 2. But yeah, let's blame everyone but the Lions. Worst run franchise in ALL of sports.
  7. Money is all that matters? Other teams wouldn't pay them? Strawman arguments.
  8. Exactly. Money is great but these guys will make plenty of cash from whoever picks them. If the Lions pick them, their entire career will be ruined if they consider winning a career goal.
  9. 2 left to chase a championship with real teams and the other just up and quit. 1 championships amongst them all. Careers successfully ruined by being chosen by the lions.
  10. Why do you hate Hutch? You want the Lions to destroy his career? Take someone from THE Ohio State Buckeyes. 😚😚
  11. Retractable dome?
  12. Is it time to replace Comerica Park?
  13. After watching the Heisman show last night, I'm not sure who we should take.
  14. Denver by 68 1/2 points?
  15. If he gets this much out of the borderline NFL players on this roster, just think how good he could be with quality players.
  16. It's great watching the Wings and expecting them to win.
  17. Oh I agree, I think he's way above average in the getting players motivated. But his in game management stinks. Another example....in Chicago, down 14-0 in the 1st quarter. 4th down in the red zone. Easy call, take the points. Nope, he went for 4th and goal and didn't make it. We ended up tying the game and going to OT. Those 3 points <may> have helped us win. And he already had HC experience when we hired him. 12 games or so in Miami. In the NFL, wins often come down to a play here or there. Making coaching mistakes every game will put you at a disadvantage that may not be easy to overcome with such a horrible roster. With that being said, I would love to see him with a talented roster. He may be able to motivate the team so well that we win by multiple scores. His mistakes wouldn't be as glaring.
  18. "In the 4th down situation late, I agreed with the call to go for it. You’re 0-10-1. Not to be crass, but honestly. F*** it."
  19. And younger players are under team control at affordable prices. When they start getting too expensive, trade or let them walk and start over. It's been going on for years but the Cubs and Royals are recent examples. My complaint is now it's our turn to start competing and it's a lockout/strike. Grrrrr.....
  20. Yeah, and we should overlook the back to back timeout penalty. Ignore any fundamental coaching decisions because we're 0-10-1 anyway. What's the difference?
  21. I think many teams are going the younger player route. And adding the veteran pieces as needed.
  22. I really don’t think the season will be delayed. Both the players and owners know how quickly interest in the game will fade if the lockout delays the start of the season.
  23. Hee-hee...
  24. But nice deflection. You never did answer why you defend them every week. And every year.
