  1. One of the outfield statues would be too. 😆
  2. Every hall of fame player was a rookie at one time or another.
  3. Apparently, it's a done deal. Too bad it's not real;
  4. Oh, and on the upside, his name is easier to spell than Kreidler's. 😅😅
  5. Well, he won with the Cubs. So yeah, I guess it's just me who doesn't like the bat flips and other flamboyant antics.
  6. Good article this morning in the Free Press about Kreidler. They claim his defense is major league ready. His K rate is way too high but there may be hope for that. Many minor league pitchers don't throw strikes so a free swinger may go after bad pitches. And he's a young player, still learning. It's not like Baez who already has a MLB track record WRT strikeouts. We desperately need a defensive SS who can produce on offense too. But I'm not sure giving 1/4 billion $$ to one player would be a good idea. It really wouldn't surprise me If Avila pulled off a trade for a decent SS. Or if he went with Kreidler. It's a decision I'm glad I don't have to make!
  7. I don't want him. I think his personality would be a negative distraction. Clubhouse chemistry is under-rated. And I'm not sure if even Hinch could control his child-like behavior.
  8. I'll just throw this in here....
  9. I'm not sure they want to invest that much into a SP until the SS situation is resolved. Maybe Al will pull off a trade to get us a SS?
  10. He was offered a 3 year contract between 35 and 40 million dollars. How much would you offer him? https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2021/11/rockies-extension-offer-to-jon-gray-was-in-35-40mm-range.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+MlbTradeRumors+(MLB+Trade+Rumors)
  11. I couldn't agree more. A total hotdog.
  12. Yeah, like my son said a few years ago after a 7 game losing streak and I complained about their inept play...just release the whole team. Over-reaction much? All I'm trying to say is we probably have ONE shot to sign a quality SS to a long term contract. The team can't afford to miss on this signing. And yes, I could see them passing on any player who wants 6 to 8 years at $30 million per.
  13. Not what I'm saying. I'm asking if we should trust Al Avila to find and sign a huge long term contract to any player at any position. I'm just not a big fan of these huge guaranteed contracts.
  14. If they spend big on a SS and he's a bust, this rebuild will be ruined. It would set us back for years. So the question is, do we trust Al Avila to spend 100+ million $$?
  15. Sizemore Syndrome.
  16. Didn't they move him up to Toledo at the same time as Tork and Greene? What if he tears up AAA pitching next season and we're stuck paying someone long term, for big bucks? It really wouldn't surprise me if the Tigers went after someone on a one year deal.
  17. I'm starting to think the Tigers won't go for an established star at SS. Not for a long term contract. I think they'll sign someone on a one year contract to see if Kreidler is the future.
  18. Yeah, he came across sounding pretty bad during the Hulu game interview. His g-friend is very pregnant and is refusing the shot. Maybe there's a bit more to the story than we've heard. He may be able to play in Canada later in the season?
  19. Any idea why? He's been pretty aggressive lately. And enduring some cheap shots.
  20. Yeah, he only earned the bonus for the years he played. I'm sure it was written that way legally, it's why he had to give it back. And I hear him say other players don't have to pay the bonus back, I was just wondering if anyone had any such players to compare to. As for retiring at a young age? I really can't blame him for that. Pain sucks and living with it every day can really drain a person. He really got hammered, over and over, every time he went up to get a Stafford jump ball. But yeah, I still say that was a TD in Chicago.
  21. Where's Larkin?
  22. I've been using a timeline like this since the late '60's, early '70's. It still hasn't worked out. But yeah, this time it will....lol
  23. He could have opened a few more marijuana dispensaries. We all lose...😆😆
  24. 100%.
