We gotta give a lot of the credit to our start so far to McKinstry, Dingler and Tork. A month ago we all had them as below average bench pieces.

It’d be really nice to see this team at full strength for a while. How much better would they be with a healthy Meadows and Vierling along with Gleyber being back. With Tork and Dingler stepping up, there wouldn’t really be a glaring weak spot aside from Maeda

I was briefly listening to the Twins radio broadcast on xm at the start of the game while I was running an errand and the Twins announcers were saying that the Twins social media employees were really trying hard to drive up interest in the team this year because the fan base has been very lackadaisical so far. Part of that is they aren’t really good, the other part is a segment of fans are boycotting until the Pohlads sell the team.

Big LOL to all the pundits who had the Twins winning the central. And there were a lot of them.

Sure, but he’s doing absolutely nothing else well. On the other hand, it’s time to figure out what the plan is for him. Is he gonna be a 1B? 2B? DH? Elsewhere? He doesn’t have the athletic diversity to be moving around the diamond without extensive practice. He’s not a McKinstry/Ibanez/Don Kelly. So pick one spot and let him play it every day, be that in Detroit or Toledo. That might help his deer-in-headlights looking face a bit.
