  1. Great kid. Nice use of NIL money.
  2. I missed this the first time around—maybe you all knew this already—but I didn't realize the AJ got Manager of the Year votes: Sure, it's hardly any, but it's some. And it's the first time since 2011 that the manager of an American League team that finished under .500 during a full season got MoY votes.
  3. lulz yourself. He's not being chased by a mob. He's running toward some action and a guy caught up with him. Other people stepped in and did what they could to try to disarm him. If you were around some guy you don't know who's holding a gun with intentions you're unclear on, and you had to act fast to save your own life, you'd do exactly what these guys in your photos did.
  4. Not "clearly running away". Looked to me like he was running toward something and got overtaken by people looking to disarm him. If he were running away he would have been busting tail 100%. Instead he was basically jogging. No sale.
  5. I agree that it doesn't happen in a dinner conversation. I agree that they were already distrustful of the government. I would disagree with the notion that practically all were already radicalized before social media, or that social media had little if any effect on them. I believe social media was used purposefully to radicalize a great number of people otherwise quiet about their previously pushed-down beliefs, and that Trump was a key utilizer of that strategy.
  6. yeah whatabout
  7. Sure, they’re not a blank slate when first dive into Facebook, Twitter, and all the right-wing social apps. They’re definitely primed beforehand. I just don’t think it’s conversation over Thanksgiving dinner that’s radicalizing tens of millions of people into believing the election was stolen from Trump and that civil war is the only way to remedy it.
  8. Also, not for nothing, if you need any clue as to how “influential” Black Lives Matter is, take a look at how many likes their post got.
  9. This is what I am wondering, too. How convenient it is for RW narrative. I can’t believe Tucker had no idea he was going to say it. Well, the BLM ain’t having any of it.
  10. More than social media anymore? So many people are becoming estranged from their families because of their radicalization by online sources.
  11. And here we are debating the etiquette of how two openly-armed shooters in a civil setting should respond to each other. Ain’t that America.
  12. I know, right? Signs up for a forum about Detroit sports and immediately starts dropping bomb after bomb in the political forum, and not a thing in the sports part.
  13. You can tell them all the "patriotic" things they are parroting are coming straight out of Beijing or Tehran or St Petersburg, but it doesn't matter, because it already triggers what they believe, and that's the important part. Besides, these Trump people like today's Russia better than today's America anyway.
  14. And China. And Iran. And Cuba. And eastern Europe. And anyone else with an interest in destroying democracy.
  15. He thought he'd be a hero. They all think they'll be heroes.
  16. MotownForums doesn't care! 😂
  17. After this trial, I wouldn't blame people for not giving a shit about the law.
  18. I can see how someone could interpret "ultimately" as feeling like "many years from now" versus "a couple years from now".
  19. You probably won't be, junior.
  20. Six years is an entire generation from now. And at age 23 he still might not be ready! So I would characterize that as “remote”.
  21. We don't have anything remotely like that, which is why I didn't bother offering it up as a contingency.
  22. If you've ever played OOTP, you'd know those guys wouldn't take crazy team-friendly offers in that video game, either.
