  1. Do they put corpses in prison? Maybe Wisconsin’s different that way, who knows …
  2. This is going to be even worse than we imagined, isn’t it? 😢
  3. A minor child carries a loaded semiautomatic rifle into a volatile crowd of people obviously itching for action—and delivering it in the form of death to two people—and you're stressing out over the lawyerly interpretation of a word? Like we're in a court of law and you're going to have your objection sustained? This is the thing you're most concerned about in all this? Come on. Ladies and gentleman, I give you ... America.
  4. I'm not lying.
  5. Yes, I am arguing what the law should be, because a self-appointed superhero vigilante waving a semiautomatic rifle in a volatile crowd is a threat, and people will die. Because of the law, others will be emboldened, this will happen again multiple times, and you can celebrate liberty in America all you want. Also, I know guns don’t kill people. People with guns kill people.
  6. I will stipulate that Wendy Rittenhouse did not drive her son to the streets of Kenosha with a rifle. D. L. Hughley got me on that one.
  7. Twenty-year-olds are considered not yet mature enough to rent a car, but sure, seventeen-year-olds definitely have the prefrontal cortex maturity to patrol crowded streets armed with a live semiautomatic rifle, right? After all, as you imply, it’s totally legal for minor children to wave semiautomatic weapons around in public. Do I have you straight on this? Also, why wouldn’t you let your 17-year-old patrol the streets of your town with a semiautomatic rifle? Are you saying your kid is dumber than Kyle Rittenhouse? 😜
  8. Regardless of how many relatives he has in Wisconsin, he didn’t belong on a street in a city his mother had to drive him an hour to get to brandishing a semiautomatic weapon and being an obvious menace to people. He went there looking to make trouble. Simple as it gets.
  9. Heyman always struck me as a teams guy.
  10. Actually the talk is about arbitration eligibility rules, if that makes you feel any better. 😄
  11. So let me see if I have this straight: If someone signs him to any contract, whether it's a major league or minor league contract, they can pay him as little as the major league minimum regardless that he is 2nd-year arb eligible. However, he maintains his place in the arb queue, which means next winter he would be 3rd-year arbitration eligible. At that point his new team would have to decide whether to keep him, at which point they would have to go through the arbitration process with him, or waive or release him. Is that straight?
  12. If they sign him to a major league deal, do they have to go to arbitration with him? If they sign him to a minor league deal and he makes the majors, can they pay him major league minimum, or must they pay him some other amount? And if this happens, what will be his arb eligibility status for 2023?
  13. And what happens to Niko's arb status? Niko was eligible in 2021 for the first time and they avoided a hearing by agreeing to a contract. He is second-year eligible going into 2022. What happens for 2023? Does he repeat second-year arb eligibility? Does he become third-year arb eligible? Will his arb status get reset and he is first-year eligible all over again in 2023? What happens to it? Let's pretend the CBA isn't going to change anything in this regard. What happens to Niko's arb status?
  14. OK, but what happens to Niko's arb status is what I'm wondering. If he signs a minor league contract and makes the majors, how much does he get paid? The underlying assumption of my question is that if any team signing him is responsible for going to arbitration with him, then I have to assume he is dunzo, at least in America. Because who's gonna pay Niko three huge for his ... err ... production?
  15. Here’s another song to wake you up in the morning.
  16. If he didn’t go where he didn’t belong in the first place, threatening people with a semi-automatic rifle on the streets of a city in another state, no one would have gotten shot by him! I don’t know how you or anyone else could think otherwise.
  17. What does this mean to Goodrum in terms of his arb? Is any team who signs him obligated to go to arb with him? Or can they avoid that by signing him to a minor league contract, and if he does and makes the team out of Arizona, can they pay him major league minimum and what happens to his arb clock?
  18. Guardians is actually a Cleveland thing.
  19. So much for the American Dream™.
  20. Congratulations to future congressman Kyle Rittenhouse, R-WI, ETA 2028.
  21. OK, John Jacob! 😭
  22. Fun fact: our top free agent target’s full name is Carlos Javier Correa Oppenheimer. There's got to be a great nickname in there somewhere.
  23. It doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue, but the program looks pretty solid.
  24. I’m too cheap to do that. I just got it from the library.
