It is about 1/3rd wat into the 2024/2025 season, and I am thoroughly disappointed with the performance of the Red Wings. They have made no progress from last season; in fact they are performing worse than last season. It is time to push the reset button and fire the coach and implement a new style of hockey. They have problems getting the puck out of their own zone and have gone back to the "dump and chase" style of hockey. This doesn't work when there is no chase. It is just a matter of turning the puck over each time you do that. They have even started dumping the puck out of their zone when they get a chance only to have the other team bring it right back in.
It is not too late to salvage the season, but it must be done now. We need a coach that focuses on offense as well as defense. It doesn't do any good holing the opposing team to 2 goals or less if you only score one. There have been a lot of one goal losses with very low scores.
I am an avid Detroit Red Wings fan but presently find it hard to watch the games played because of the style of hockey. The re-build is taking way too long. Please implement changes immediately.
