  1. Dirks with DD is peak Dirks. Awesome. With Benetti he's a bit of a clown.
  2. So the "trade him, then re-sign him in the off-season" unicorn has finally made an appearance. I love this signing, btw.
  3. What do you believe the Lions could realistically get for Hooker in a trade?
  4. He was very clear that he has zero desire to be an NFL coach at any level during a locker room interview after signing this year.
  5. Nope. They're the last team I want to win, and not because they beat the Lions.
  6. lolwut?
  7. Hooker's college performance becomes less relevant each year he's removed from it. Two full seasons into his NFL career, Hooker's perceived NFL value is based far more on what he has done in the NFL, which is bupkis. If he does have any value beyond a late Day 3 pick, we'll find out this off season. A weak QB draft class should have QB-needy teams beating down the door for Hendon if you're right, but I don't think you are.
  8. I doubt anyone is trading more than a future 7th for Hooker. Pre-injury draft hype is meaningless at this point, and his limited NFL action is neither deep nor wildly impressive. And fair or not, other GMs will wonder why Campbell put Bridgewater in over Hooker, even if for just one snap.
  9. I believe it's 2026 and 2027.
  10. Now that the Lions are eliminate, Let's Go Buffalo!
  11. It's not that they called a pass play there, it's that they telegraphed it was a pass play by going empty set. The defense didn't have to respect anything other than the pass.
  12. We all knew the defense was the weakest link of this team, and it was up to the elite unit -- the offense -- to put pressure on the Commies to keep up. Goff was pretty bad and Johnson got a little too cute by half, so that's where I put the bulk of the blame. If we "only" turn the ball over twice, I think we still have a shot to win, but our elite unit kept putting our weak unit in terrible positions, and they reacted predictably. S**t happens in the NFL, and Jared and Ben picked a bad day to have a bad day, but for me, it completely ruins the season. 15-2 is meaningless after an 0-1 playoff exit in that fashion. Our window will remain open for at least a couple of years, I think, but this is such a waste since we're likely to be breaking in two new coordinators next season. Maybe that fires the boys up, but they have a brutal schedule and are likely to fall back to the pack. Perhaps they really will thrive on being more of an underdog, but I was hoping they'd be one of those alpha-dog teams who thrive on being the favorite.
  13. As they should. 15-2 is tough to repeat, much less improve upon.
  14. All three Detroit pro teams lost today. What a sh***y day.
  15. Washington's tactic of forcing the Lions to return kickoffs has paid dividends.
  16. I'm sorry, but getting flagged for 12 men on 4th and 2 is some SOL s**t
  17. Washington should just keep running Daniels to the right until the Lions prove they can stop it. Like every single play until he gets fewer than 4 yards on it.
