It's fair to critique Arnold, but the difference between he and Okudah is that Arnold is in position to make plays far more often than Okudah ever was. His coverage has been pretty good, he's just got to get use to the NFL game. Also, I think many of the plays he's getting flagged on now won't get flagged later in the season. And I say all this as the guy who flippantly called him "Terrion Okudah" last week.

The Padres sat Luis Arraez yesterday. He leads Ohtani by about 4-points in the NL batting title race, and for Shohei, it's the Triple Crown on the line. It would be the punkest of punk-a** moves for him to sit for today's season finale.

Baltimore probably shouldn't start Burnes in game 1, because if they don't score against Skubal they will have wasted a Burnes start.

Valente has shown the Tigers plenty of love - specifically Fetter and Hinch -- but he's not wrong about the Twins collapse being the main reason this great run could pay off with a playoff appearance. If the Twins and Royals even go four games under .500 over the same period, the Tigers aren't even close. It's okay to acknowledge that their collapses are just as crucial to this as the Tigers incredible run.

Effing Miami.

Yeah, they're playing some pissed off baseball right now. I can think of a few other teams I'd rather face than them to close this out.

Same. Dickerson is pretty much the same with whomever is in the booth with him, and Dirks is at his best with him. Benetti is too easily distracted when paired with someone who tries to match him at his own game. He's at his best with someone like Peaches or Gibby, both of whom tend to be far more game-focused.
