  1. I really dislike it when the Cleveland crowd rises in hysterical joy anxious for the next pitch to put us down
  2. 2 on 2 out it’s up to McKinstry
  3. Instead of following this game too closely I think I might watch a playful nihilistic French film from the 1960s where everybody dies because that is at least fiction.
  4. If with a clear, cool head, the Tigers are also boiling over with a need to make good on the promises of this season, I’ll be happy with that. And maybe they don’t even need to have a vengeful spirit, just an acute recognition of circumstances that sparks something inside. And some luck.
  5. Yes. As well as the serendipitous exploitation of errors by Cleveland.
  6. Maybe it’ll be like falling off a cliff and landing on a trampoline then ascending at a high velocity to victory. Yeah that’s it, that’s the ticket, that’s what’s going to happen. It did happen before, after the trade deadline last year. They are all capable of being in sync and firing on all cylinders at times. Here’s to the hope that happens!
  7. At least we won the game we were supposed to win because we have the best pitcher in MLB and he did his job, but the Tigers could only score 2 runs. And this has sort of been par for the course lately. It would be great if they could pull off another win tomorrow and just put an end of all this. But it will be hard to subsist on two or three runs a game in the next two series.
  8. I’m watching the Sawx play the Yanks, on YouTube TV right now. It’s a shame that both teams can’t lose.
  9. Yeah, I’m watching it on ESPN on YouTube TV.
  10. Ramirez getting thrown out racing to home in the bottom of the 9th must’ve been crushing for Cleveland fans I mean, devastating especially after the sheer joy that swept through the crowd when he made it to third base. If anybody takes joy and another fan base being tortured, this is right up there at the top of the torture register. Some of them may hate baseball forever because of this.
  11. By the way, if you’re not blacked out from viewing either the Tigers or the Guardians by mlb.tv the game is now available on MLB TV
  12. This is almost like one of those “Where were you when you knew JFK had been assassinated?“ things. I was in sixth grade English class and teachers were gathering out in the hallway crying and they announced it over the school intercom and we all went home.
  13. For postseason you need a TV provider. Not for the regular season, of course
  14. I followed the last inning on my iPhone with the audio feeding through my hearing aids, and when the Tigers won, I turned over the only vehicle nearby I could get my hands on.
  15. So I guess that the 26,000 people that showed up to see this playoff game are kind of disappointed after Ramirez ended up on third. HA!
  16. Tigers threaten in the top of the ninth but do not score.
  17. Right now I get the feeling that these guys of ours can’t hit any pitching let alone good pitching.
  18. It was actually half in the lower strike zone and half out so it’s a legitimate called strike.
  19. But with one of the lower WAR on the team. There are times that if he just made contact in certain situations he could drive in runs, but this whole golf swing all or nothing home run thing gets old.
  20. Jose Ramirez is our Keyser Söze and I’m glad we got him this time.
  21. And Riley strikes out because it is what it is.
  22. I hope Skubal doesn’t serve up two strike zone first pitch home runs in the first inning.
