The good thing about radio is that you don’t have to look at all the shiny happy people that want us to suffer.

I experienced in an inordinate degree of joy at the suffering of the Cleveland fans when they shuffled out of that stadium. People who want me to be sad don’t make me happy. And I’m apparently unwilling to expand my bubble of joy to include their joy.

I am so tired of umps that expand the strike zone.

The fact that we’re not down 3–0 after the first inning brings me joy, but not particularly hope.

I’ve noticed that national broadcasts tend to make the strike zone look almost imperceptible probably to keep people from complaining about how bad the umpires are, but when you’re on mlb.tv, they make it obvious.

I’m not used to watching TNT broadcasts and I don’t know if they’re doing something different, but the camera angles and the brightness of the color in the picture seem better than what I’m used to seeing on a regular mlb.tv broadcast.
