  1. Montero is hittable tonight so far.
  2. Yes, I saw Jake on the screen didn’t check the box score.
  3. I’m starting to get excited. I’m starting to enter into Deadpool terrain, and making an educated wish.
  4. Wenceel drives in Riley. I love this guy.
  5. Riley double
  6. Whew… Wenceel snags it. A bit too much excitement for me in the first ending hopefully Montero settles down.
  7. Erie won the Eastern League title. Cool.
  8. Posts like this are the reason I still come here. Thank you.
  9. Although I don’t have much data to base this assumption on, I always got the feeling the Tigers had an unsystematic way of developing players. The broadcasting staff at least gives this impression now where they talk about something akin to a “Tigers Way“ of developing players from the earliest stages up to the major league level, which by inference means they didn’t used to do it this way, that there wasn’t really a tiger’s way. They talk about how the new guys who have come up, have risen through the system and been developed in the same manner so I get the impression that the system in the past used to be kind of scattershot.
  10. Totally
  11. Last I checked, Montero was listed as the SP so they want to bring him in as a reliever, not a starting reliever or whatever we’re calling it.
  12. Yeah, that’s what impressed me. He knows what to say. He has the right attitude. The team has a positive “group think” thing going on about not taking things for granted. And knowing that nobody’s gonna just let you steamroller over them.
  13. In the post game interview Skubal said he looked forward to pitching on Sunday and there were no ifs, ands, butts, or maybes about it.
  14. Each club got only three hits. Winning games like this is key.
  15. Beau knows pitching.
  16. According to a graphic on TV, our guy has 228 strikeouts and the other guy 217.
  17. When Skubal celebrated that last out, I’m not a good lip reader, but he may not have said heck yeah.
  18. Poche gets us out on 5 pitches in the sixth.
  19. Pepiot w/86 tosses, 26 of them to Wenceel. Wow!
  20. Wenceel has seen 26 pitches in his three at bats today. He’s a one man wrecking crew.
  21. Wenceel Pérez hits a ground-rule double (16) on a line drive down the right-field line. Trey Sweeney scores. Jake Rogers scores. Parker Meadows to 3rd.
