Late in the season, we seem to be facing pitchers who have hit their stride and become “unhittable.“ Our pitchers, on the other hand, have become more hittable. I don’t know if this is really the case but it seems like it.

This is our one “sure bet” this series. Hope they don’t waste it.

Just for the fun of it, I checked another fan duel broadcast, which was the Cardinals and went back a couple innings and all they had was one of those in-house MLB TV ads and it played during the entire break in the inning. They didn’t have any real ads. I think this is a FanDuel issue but I have to admit I didn’t care badly enough to watch a non-fan dual broadcast so I don’t really know.

I wasn’t able to follow this game after a while and I’m curious if there were ever any ads on the MLB TV feed. I’m presuming that on FanDuel Detroit there was I’m just wondering if there’s some kind of legal or technical snafu going on with NLB.tv. I remember in the beginning of mlb.tv they would just run the same two cringe erectile dysfunction ads over and over again and that’s all they had.

Good I was worried it was some kind of freak injury thing again because I’m expecting the worst.

I had to do other stuff why was Meadows pulled?

Given we’re constantly being induced to gamble, when will there be an official cannabis dispensary for the Detroit Tigers?

There were no RBIs recorded, but the pitcher Smith was charged with earned runs. Makes sense it’s not like Dingler did anything.

Still no ads on mlb.tv for me. Grateful that I don’t need to see more ads for apartments.com or snickering d*** pic jokes.

I’m getting a headache from just watching that over and over again.

On the radio they’re playing this Shane Smith guy up like he’s a Tigers killer.

I was going to say getting out of the top of the First without allowing any runs would be a big deal, but I guess it didn’t happen.

Six more games against Cleveland to go, then three on the road against the Yankees, three on the road against the Red Sox. The team really needs to make hay against the White Sox. And three more against Miami on the road. Nine games at home and 12 on the road. This could be a tough stretch.

Kahnle Is fixed so it’s back to .667 ball!

Was there any good Tigers news today? Is the sky still breaking off in big chunks and falling to earth and are the undead still roaming the streets? I could use some good news.

I wish I could say I’m excited about Meadows coming back, but I’m not. Aside from having injury problems, I wonder if he’s a head case like his brother. I mean his first game back after the injury he was spectacular, and then after that pretty much nothing. That may have been BABIP but I’m not expecting him to be a game changer. I would dearly love being wrong about this. He was a big contributor last year.

The Tigers scored 19 runs in this three game series while allowing 24 runs to the Mets. Scoring runs is definitely not the problem right now. This season is getting curiouser and curiouser. They’re at the top of the pile in the American League but it’s difficult to take a lot of solace in this even though I should. When you follow a team is closely as most of us do you’re always more aware of the serpent in the garden than in all the good things that are there.

As much as we have been understandably frustrated with this club at times, they still have the most wins in the American League and only Milwaukee is ahead of them in the National League. I wish I had the resolve or ability to get some distance from the daily ups and downs and be rational about all this, but I’m not particularly good at that. Really glad the Tigers won. Now they have an off day to repair.

I really like Bobby a lot. I’m not sure how the Tigers happened to pick up on him, but it’s working for me at least.

When I was listening to the game on the radio in my car, Dan mentioned that Baez has only walked once in his last 180 bats.
