  1. Tune into the Rockies and Diamondbacks game right now the Rockies are leading 13–11 and the diamondback’s bench coach was just kicked out out of the game. It’s a tremendous and well needed comeback for a team that has suffered a lot.
  2. I feel the same way about books I read meant for popular non-academic audiences on, however, serious academic subjects like history, philosophy, or science where the author thinks they have to spend the first 15 pages dawdling around assuring you that they’re just a regular bro like you because they're trying not to scare you off. Like you, I don’t care about them or their life history and I certainly don’t need it in a podcast either.
  3. Cleveland lost today but the Twins are winning again. And we can’t expect anyone else to do the heavy lifting for us and we don’t even face the Twins until the end of June.
  4. I have a short attention span and I’m just not willing to sit around and wait for podcasts to hit me like the bolt of lightning I’m seeking. So often podcasts feel like they’re just trying to fill up the allotted time. If I were more patient, I probably wouldn’t feel like this, but I’m impatient.
  5. If you simply want to watch the second season of the HBO series The Last of Us you shouldn’t watch this video. The series is based on this second game and the series I believe extends into a total of three seasons. It’s 15 hours long and the uploading gamer doesn’t die once when average gamers die 70 to 150 times. There’s also a learning curve of just figuring out how to get from one place to another that takes a frustrating amount of time and none of that occurs within this play-through. It took my son easily 30-40 hours to make it through the game as I sat and watched. There is some horrific and troubling violence that exceeds anything seen thus far on the show in this game. I don’t know how they’ll collapse this game into two remaining episodes and one more season but anyway here it is if it interests you.
  6. I looked it up and I was not hallucinating. They got rid of it a couple seasons ago and I couldn’t see any reason given but it probably had something to do with interfering with advertising. I never used it, but I would use it now at least on occasion.
  7. It’s a road game. Maybe the Tigers will squeeze through today, but if they win tomorrow, it’s a series win, which is almost worthy of a ticker tape parade statistically.
  8. Hoffman gave up five runs in his last outing and four home runs in his last nine innings. If the Tigers can’t win against this guy, they definitely don’t deserve to win, but a lot of times nobody deserves to win.
  9. Cough cough. We need another double play.
  10. That’s rational thank you for giving me at least a little. Hope I’m always looking for some.
  11. It’d be nice to trade him for an arm, but I can’t see why anyone would trade for him when they could get him for free. I guess it just is what it is.
  12. I take it back. I do want the $5 million.
  13. We need another DP. I won’t even wish for a DP and $5 million this time.
  14. I find myself turning the audio off on the game on the TV and I have some kind of recollection that MLB TV used to give you the option of just listening to crowd noise in the background and not listening to broadcasters, but I might be hallucinating this memory.
  15. It feels like bringing Beau in is sort of like playing Russian roulette with a gun with only two chambers, but maybe he’s settling down.
  16. Nido is doing a good job of tricking this ump on low pitches out of the zone.
  17. I’m starting to get a bad feeling about this game. I think it will take more than one run to win this game. I hope I’m wrong.
  18. Reese has only 71 pitches after five innings so they should be able to get a couple more innings out of him if he doesn’t melt down or anything. Sure could use some run support.
  19. Petry jabbered without paying any attention to the game for that entire last batter of the fourth.
  20. Even though it’s only the fourth inning, I’m unhappy with the number of runs thus far scored by the Tigers.
