  1. I wish my mom hadn’t got rid of my stamp collection 47 years ago because right now if I had it that would be more fulfilling to engage with than this game.
  2. And that can work both ways unfortunately I guess we’ll just see
  3. Knock on wood, the game is still close so anything could happen.
  4. The wrong Perez homers.
  5. To go old-school for a moment, Malloy “looks like a baseball player.“
  6. That felt and sounded like a Homer.
  7. Skubal dealing in the 1st.
  8. That lineup tonight is not exactly “murderers row.“ These last two months are not for the weak of heart. That said, it’s still really really bugs me that the Kansas City Royals, who are truly a small market team and not a small market team by fiat of ownership, can field a more successful club than we can (regardless of how much this is a attributable to them committing genocide against the White Sox this year).
  9. I get sentimental and wistful about the “early days“ of MLB.TV when they didn’t have much advertising and had to run the same two ED commercials over and over again.
  10. Unfortunately, I won’t be doing this anymore. The app I have used for 7 or 8 years jumped from $30 a year to $80 a year with no real upgrades and aside from that pissing me off, I think the several hours a day I spend fiddling around with images could be better spent.
  11. The Tigers have been on Apple TV a surprising number of times this season. After all, we’re small market team with a tiny payroll thanks to the Illich children who have destroyed what their father bequeathed them. We finally really did it. [falls to his knees screaming] YOU MANIACS! YOU BLEW IT UP! AH, DAMN YOU! GOD DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL!! "
  12. Will Smith slapped us around pretty good in the bottom of the 8th <rim shot>
  13. Guess who’s back? back again Tork is back, Tell a friend… … In Toledo…
  14. Well, I stopped paying attention so it’s that “Schrodinger’s cat” thing where something unpredictable occurs while I’m not looking.
  15. We are being no hit. We may be witnessing a “historic” game.
  16. At least the no-hitter suspense is over quickly.
  17. In the last four years — and I’m not counting 2020 — Trout has played in 36, 119, 82, and 29 games. What a downer for Angels fans.
  18. I hope Montero returns to his better self tonight.
  19. If Hinch had a brain bigger than the scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz, he would pick some hot hitter out of A ball and promote him to the show like the Red Sox did with Tony Conigliaro from the NY-Penn in 1964. It worked then and it could work now. But he’ll never do something this brilliant. Grrrr…
  20. The words Avila and Evil sound a lot alike.
  21. I checked my Regal Cinema app this morning and realized I could go see ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ for the third time for only 53¢ because my monthly subscription fee covers the rest of it. I didn’t even think of a possible conflict with this game because I’ve somehow accepted that we’ve seen the best this team can offer already this year. I certainly had a lot more fun at the theater than I would’ve following this game.
  22. I guess that as a “consumer” the effect of all this on me is that instead of biting at the mlb.tv offer of the rest of the season for $34.99 I don’t feel motivated to push the button. This is a lesser product on the field and I can do fine with radio and don’t need to see it on TV too.
