  1. Go crazy folks, go crazy! Blue Jays win the first game of the World Series! Go crazy!
  2. I didn’t know anything about the ads that are running on the World Series until I saw it. Ha!
  3. Ohtani hits a meaningless 2-run home run. Who does he think he is, Torkelson?
  4. My daughter who has lived in West Hollywood for the last five years is rooting for Toronto.
  5. Alejandro Kirk homers (4) on a fly ball to center field. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. scores. 11-2 Toronto.
  6. Addison Barger hits a grand slam (3) to center field. Nathan Lukes scores. Andrés Giménez scores. George Springer scores. BJ’s 9-2 lead in 6th
  7. I don’t know where to put this so I’m putting it here. I hadn’t been to IHOP in a long time, but apparently the size of a coffee is now the size of an espresso. I don’t know if this is an effect of the tariffs or not. And I don’t know how much more of this “winning” or “getting my country back” I can take. But at least the coffee plantations in the upper peninsula that have been undercut by “cheap foreign coffee“ will be able to rise from the ruins and back to the greatness they once knew.
  8. This is a really good all Idaho Pilsner that’s crisp and with a great finish. It makes me smile. My son is 50 years younger than me and he and his friends really like it and deride “old people’s beer” saying that IPAs taste like feet. I have neglected asking him how he knows feet taste bad.
  9. I’ve been here 21 years and I still consider myself one of the new kids.
  10. Just another typical fall day at the Idaho Botanical Garden, one of my most frequently visited and favorite places ever.
  11. It was a more benign version of that brainwashing scene out of A Clockwork Orange.
  12. I was a Dodgers fan for one year in 1982 when I was laid up from a motorcycle injury and it was the only baseball on the radio where I lived. I loved Fernando, but always knew Garvey was a prick. Vin Scully was great. But that short-lived Bleeding Dodger Blue part of me has long since expired. I’m pulling for Toronto for lots of reasons, but I don’t have much hope for them.
  13. This was an exciting game to watch. I’m glad it was a nationally televised broadcast and not something on FOX which never allows me to watch the Lions unless they’re playing someone on the West Coast.
  14. I wish they could figure out how to sack Mayfield.
  15. $20 million a year for a guy under replacement value. I guess a lot of of these contracts end like that.
  16. I don’t really mean to “like” this because I hold nothing against Nick but that seems kind of astonishing, but maybe not.
  17. Dodgers now lead Milwaukee three games to zero. Scherzer is pitching for the Jays and Naylor just hit a home run for the Mariners who now lead 1-0 in the second while the series stands at 2-1 M’s.
  18. Once again, I am so glad that this is not my problem. I have a habit of looking for problems, but this ain’t one of them.
  19. Now 13-4 Jays in the top of the ninth. That’s pretty much an emphatic comeback. Feel kind of bad for the Seattle fans who had to endure this. They had such high hopes and this series is not over yet by any means but man, this is a real butt kicking.
  20. And suddenly the Blue Jays scored five runs in the top of the third. I certainly am glad this isn’t my problem.
  21. As much as I want to, I still can’t make myself care about this game or watch it much longer. I wish them well. The Mariners that is.
