Lindgren crosschecks Rasmussen in the head as he goes by, no major here though.... Lindgren seems to be asking Rasmussen to fight him and my lip reading of Ras leads me to think that he's ready to at any f'in time!

The Rangers have a lot of talent. I can see them winning a President’s Trophy sometime in the next few years.

It'll be interesting to see how their RFA deals work out this next offseason, they might have some small issues navigating the cap.

True.  And I see no reason they need to pick up Patrick Kane, as rumoured

2nd P was some of the worst hockey I've seen the Wings play in a while. Just sort of standing around on defense waiting for something bad to happen. On the bright side maybe that energy they didn't spend in the 2nd will be available in the 3rd. They will need it. Rangers have a lot of comebacks.

Copp with a 3 point night now, Hronek scored on the PP.  Despite being outshot a bunch the Wings have this in hand right now, going to the power play again too

Rangers must be really frustrated, fighting after clean hits.  That "charge" call on Rasmussen earlier was the 6th called all season...

Except for John Motson dying. He made soccer sound exciting before I knew soccer could be exciting.

It feels weird to be in the playoff hunt this late in the season, but I like it.

And now just a game under what I consider to be true .500: 28 Wins, 29 Losses (L + OTL + SOL).

And if I'm reading it correctly, the Wings are 22-21 in games that end in regulation, and 6-8 in games decided in overtime or the shootout.

This has been an entertaining 1st period. Tampa with only goal so far, but Wings hold8ng their own. Big save by Vasilevsky on Bertuzzi shortly after Bolts had clanged one off the past at the other end.

Backbreaker of a goal with 7 seconds left in 2nd period. 2-0 despite a whopping 31-12 shots advantage for the Wings.

amd pittsburgh won in ot, and ottawa is going to win too.

these next two in ottawa might be the most important of the season.  they need at least 3 points.
