Skating? Or Simon is getting out-physicaled...?

He's putting himself out of position and had a couple giveaways on exit passes. On one play he was leaving the zone before the Wings truly had possession and Chiarot had to make a nice play on a 2 on 1.  Simon did make a pretty nice play later in the period so maybe he was taking a bit to get into the game after sitting out.

Marco Kasper getting called up. When I was clamoring for the Wings to draft him last year I had honestly only read scouting reports and watched him on highlight tapes and maybe parts of a few different games. He looked like a high IQ player who had great hands and was a wizard with the puck on his stick but just needed to find his scoring touch. So glad to see he is getting the call up and chance to play in the men's league already.

I really am curious if he'll be in the lineup tonight, he has to be some kind of jet lagged right now.

He's young and can suck it up. In the past 2 weeks I've been in Tokyo, Taipei and Regina, Saskatchewan and I'm still fully able to type up a storm here  on message boards.

dammit.  they need to lose!

It's funny, they're 5-10-1 starting with the Ottawa games and if they had merely played to their season's average of a point per game during that stretch they'd only be 4 points out of a playoff spot with a game in hand and we'd by psyched about tonight's barnburner in Manitoba.
