If anything, it is under-reported because it happens every week and people get desensitized to it.  The sheer volume of dead kids is overwhelming.

I'm not sure it's quite passed yet (NPR hasn't called it, for example), but it's doing pretty well, leading by about 30k votes. probably mostly Multnomah/Washington County ballots left, which is in its favor. in any case, I'm extremely pleased that "yes" shows every sign of holding its lead.

That is a very reasonable law and should be federal. No brainer good job Oregon.

Any idea why in the UVA shootings?

No one is saying anything. The accused was being investigated in relation to a hazing incident a while ago. He also was recently accused They were returning from a class field trip to Richmond (about an hour away).

There was also an incident in Northern Virginia concerning a gun recently. He was supposed to disclose it to campus authorities.

Some people, you cross them at all, they have to amp up the response to the max. Having access to guns makes it all potentially deadly.

UVa has cancelled this weekend's game against Coastal Carolina. Next weekends Va Tech game may also be in jeopardy. Given the combined records of the two teams it might be a good thing.

I don't understand this hatred.     I never have.  Why does it matter how other people live?   

I just don't get it.    

We don't know the motive yet, but I think we can guess with confidence.
