Crazy Cat Gentleman Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 and that's just killed. let's not forget injuries and horrible emotional trauma. that shit sticks with you. Quote
Jim Cowan Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 If anything, it is under-reported because it happens every week and people get desensitized to it. The sheer volume of dead kids is overwhelming. Quote
Motown Bombers Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 Should send a copy of the law to Michigan now that there is a Democratic majority. Quote

I'm not sure it's quite passed yet (NPR hasn't called it, for example), but it's doing pretty well, leading by about 30k votes. probably mostly Multnomah/Washington County ballots left, which is in its favor. in any case, I'm extremely pleased that "yes" shows every sign of holding its lead. 1 Quote

That is a very reasonable law and should be federal. No brainer good job Oregon. 3 1 Quote

Motor City Sonics Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 Any idea why in the UVA shootings? Quote
CMRivdogs Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 No one is saying anything. The accused was being investigated in relation to a hazing incident a while ago. He also was recently accused They were returning from a class field trip to Richmond (about an hour away). There was also an incident in Northern Virginia concerning a gun recently. He was supposed to disclose it to campus authorities. Quote
chasfh Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 Some people, you cross them at all, they have to amp up the response to the max. Having access to guns makes it all potentially deadly. Quote
CMRivdogs Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 UVa has cancelled this weekend's game against Coastal Carolina. Next weekends Va Tech game may also be in jeopardy. Given the combined records of the two teams it might be a good thing. Quote
chasfh Posted November 17, 2022 Posted November 17, 2022 Obviously the kid lunged at the officer, since police department accounts always confirm that's what causes cops to shoot civilians. Quote

Motown Bombers Posted November 18, 2022 Posted November 18, 2022 On an unrelated note, I see no issues with more teachers being armed in the classroom. Quote

Motor City Sonics Posted November 20, 2022 Posted November 20, 2022 Wake up and see there was a mass shooting at a gay bar. I don't understand this hatred. I never have. Why does it matter how other people live? I just don't get it. We don't know the motive yet, but I think we can guess with confidence. 1 Quote
