A third uniform. What would YOU like?

Tigers are looking into a third uniform option. 

 

What would you hope for. 

The 1968 Road Uniform?

A button up version of the 1970s/80s pullover?

A navy blue top with a white Olde English D? 

A grey version of the home uniform?  

 

What would you like to see?

Sunday home jerseys need to be the all whites.   I do not see a scenario where I would prefer any other jersey to those.  

The Stars and hispanic heritage night jerseys are fine.   If they want to expand that to include Polish-American jerseys or what not...fine.

It’s gonna be the navy blue, because people like colored jerseys, and then only the Yankees and Dodgers will left to stand against it.

Several teams rolled out “City Connect” uniforms this year. I wonder if this 3rd uniform is for this purpose?

Yes what he said.  There are enough special uniforms and hats they wear during the year so do they really need another?  I vote no and could get rid of the special ones too except for Jackie Robinson day when they are all 42.

I love the Detroit Stars uniforms.  Just wear those more often and I'd be happy with that.

Well, it was intended as satire. I think the "push" for a 3rd uniform is silly to begin with.  And I SURE don't want the the 70's and 80's era roadies to make a return.

I think the white sox look like a circus with their Standard issue, their Pajama retros, and their "Thug" blacks, and I guess they even have more.

I say spend the money on talent, not fool-azz showmanship

 

If The Tigers were dead set on jumping into the latest fad, I'd prefer something like the A's had in the 70's with their sleeveless vests and contrasting undershirt...but not in those colors, of course. We'd have to have colors that were more with our own tradition...just my 2 cents

Put the 1980s throwback uniforms into regular rotation. Similar to the modern day Astros uniforms.

I'd be OK with an occasional road alternative (either based on 1984 or the 60s).

But they had better not mess with the home unis any more than they did a couple of years ago.

One offs like the Stars and los Tigres are fine.  Although, to be honest, I don't like the navy blue accent along the the buttons & collar on the Stars jersey.

Wasn't it returned to its previous size or is it just in the middle of what it was and what they did to it for the one season?

They made the D grotesquely big one season, then reduced it about 2/3 the way back the next. Not quite all the way back.

With respect to a third uniform, I like the 1907 or 19117 with the blue colloar and the blue cap with the white piping.

Regarding the home D on the jersey, I wish they would downsize it a bit. The change of the D didn’t really bother me a couple years ago but the current one appears to be larger than the one prior to the change.
