Tiger337 Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 There is no clear cut winner in the NL. You can make a case for Snell based on ERA, strikeouts and home run prevention. You can also make a case for Strider and a couple of others. Quote
1776 Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 The owners unanimously approve the A’s move to Vegas…as expected. Quote

Tenacious D Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 Do they stay the A’s or embrace a new regional name? Quote

Tiger337 Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 They are officially named the Athletics. They were officially the A's from I think 1970-1980, but have always been the Athletics otherwise. That name has been around for the entirety of the modern major leagues, so I hope it stays the same. They'll probably come up with some cute new minor league type name though. Quote

Interesting side story: Milt Wilcox once told me a story that **** Allen Always wore sleeves under his jersey because he thought pitchers would be intimidated by his muscles and not pitch to him. Wilcox also said Allen hit a homerun off of him in old Comisky Park that is still going. 3 2 Quote
Jim Cowan Posted November 18, 2023 Posted November 18, 2023 It's November, and time to start whining about Cabrera's contract. Why can't Harris find a creative solution? I guess he doesn't really want to win. Quote

Yes, I think he belongs. He was like Miguel Cabrera with a shorter career. Of course, I also wish Cabrera's career was shorter. Edited November 19, 2023 by Tiger337 Quote
