Tigerbomb13 Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 Riley breaks it up!!!! Holy shit, a hit!!!! Quote
chasfh Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 He didn't exactly crush that grounder, but at least Riley has gotten us off the base hit schneid. Riley has made a lot of good things happen by charging down the line toward first this year so far. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 In years past, when somebody insulted the Tigers, there would be other posters defending them. Not so much any more. : ( Quote
Tigerbomb13 Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 (edited) Hard hitting analysis from C-Mo: “Tigers have not made a lot of hard contact in this series” Edited April 2, 2023 by Tigerbomb13 Quote

Tenacious D Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 Where analytics have failed—people trying to distract by identifying a silver lining out of exit velo, hard hit rate, BABIP, etc…. All great, but at the end of the day it’s about results. 1 Quote
MichiganCardinal Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 Is it an overreaction to think this team may be historically bad? Like near 2003 territory? The only thing that kept people from going quite that far is that the offense couldn’t possibly be worse than 2022. Well…… Quote
Sports_Freak Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 Can Dan Campbell coach baseball? We need to chew on some kneecaps. 🤣🤣🤣 Quote

I thought they could win 75 games a week ago, but now I think 100 losses is definitely a possibility. 1 Quote
Jim Cowan Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 Hens game tied at 1. They have 3 hits and 5 walks, lots of firepower! Quote

IdahoBert Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 At least they avoided the ignominy of a No-hitter. Quote

Also remember the first 40 games is probably the toughest stretch any team in baseball has this year. Quote

Tigerbomb13 Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 How bad is Schoop when you get pinch hit for McKinstry? Results are the same. Quote

This is more of a character-building year for everyone involved. 1 Quote

Would that be historicially bad? 1 Quote
IdahoBert Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 I haven’t been around here in quite a while because I don’t have much positive to say and I don’t want to be like the trolls I used to enjoy banning. But the negative comment I do have to share is that I was wondering how the Ilitch family cannot feel ashamed at what they’ve done to this team and I realize that as really really really rich kids they probably have a pretty thick skin about being disliked. I suppose that Mike as complicated and unsaint like as he most likely was, was at least capable of shame which made him care two shits instead of none. 1 2 Quote

gehringer_2 Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 So far Foley is perfect through, 3/3 inherited runners scored. 'Lineup flexibility' has netted us zero runs and non 3b Maton was just unable to make another play that led to a run. Quote
