Dtrain72 Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 I will never understand how someone with such an awful eye at the plate in Baez, has made it this far in his baseball career. In all my 52 years, I really dont recal any other player being such consistent ass at the plate with zero discipline. Quote

I guess he gets away with it because he hits some of the terrible pitches he chases. Quote

Gawd I hope he opts out after this season...I cant stand watching him impersonating a windmill at the plate much more (and we're only 5 games in), it makes my soul hurt. Quote
Dtrain72 Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 Last night and tonight are what we need to see...some passion, play hard, put up a fight, and keep it entertaining. If they lose like this, so be it, at least it's not zombie ball. Quote

He’s very streaky, and when he’s going good, which he can do for a couple months at a stretch, he’s a legitimate All-Star. Quote
chasfh Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 (edited) Now that was a five-star catch by Riley! Edited April 5, 2023 by chasfh Quote
chasfh Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 Vierling has to commit to that foul ball over TORK! Quote

Well last year he was "streaky" all right, but not in the good way. Hope he finds one if his 2 month all-star streaks this season. Quote

chasfh Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 Manning was not very good tonight but he kept us close. You could see after that last walk how totally out of gas he was. Quote
mtutiger Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 Big test for Foley: make sure the inherited runner on 1st doesn't score. Baby steps lol Quote
gehringer_2 Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 Got him out before he could lose the game. Fair enough. Lets see if someone in this BP can erase a runner. Quote
Tigerbomb13 Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 Can Foley finally strand an inherited runner? Quote
Jim Cowan Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 Good game Manning, hope they get out of the inning. Quote

kdog Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 Manning competed tonight. Encouraging outing and he's the only healthy high pitching draft pick right now. 1 Quote
