He clearly freed his foot from Sabonis' grasp and then decided to stomp down with intent in order to make a point. A 230 pound guy stomping on your chest can easily break a rib and is far more dangerous than a punch. He even said after the game that this is the second time someone grabbed his ankle and he was tired of it - clear intent. He was trying to send a message. The NBA should send one back with a suspension. the way he acted afterwards as well. i get being emotional and im sure the crowd was taunting him, but you need to be a little professional and not act like a lunatic. he's a bit unhinged. 1 Quote
Deleterious Posted April 18, 2023 Author Posted April 18, 2023 Good explanation how Boston is defending Young. Quote
Deleterious Posted April 19, 2023 Author Posted April 19, 2023 First round and bigs are already relegated to bench duty. Meanwhile, Weaver signed five more bigs today to round out next years roster. Quote
Betrayer Posted April 19, 2023 Posted April 19, 2023 Until last night I was going to say that so far the bigs have managed to stay in the game this year in the playoffs...but nope, Clippers and Suns decide to go small in the 4th yesterday and screw up my PrizePicks parlay. Quote
Betrayer Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 That block got me out of my seat. AD got bullied all night. Quote
Betrayer Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 Imagine trading away your future for a team that will never be more than a garbage 8th seed. Minnesota must’ve contacted SVG for advice. Quote
buddha Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 towns in the 4th quarter, 0-4 with a turnover. is it good to have more turnovers than made baskets? jimmy butler was right. Quote
Deleterious Posted April 20, 2023 Author Posted April 20, 2023 As soon as their season ends I would be on the phone with Portland asking if they would do Towns for Sharpe. Quote
Betrayer Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 That’s a good one. Portland is in desperate win now mode. They might be one of the few teams with a nice young prospect that would bite. Quote
buddha Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 i love how the warriors are "livid" about draymond's suspension. he's a clown who stomped on a guy! he's lucky he only got one game! Quote

I can't imagine that their lack of self-awareness is anything but a big show for the public. Just like Kerr who's probably still claiming that he, "didn't see the incident." Quote

RandyMarsh Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 Kawhi out for game 3 with a knee injury. I love Kawhi but he's like Anthony Davis, seems like he is always injured! Quote
Deleterious Posted April 21, 2023 Author Posted April 21, 2023 So you have to suspend Embiid for a game now, right? 1 Quote
Deleterious Posted April 21, 2023 Author Posted April 21, 2023 Embiid has more flagrant fouls than Green in half the games played. Since he didn't get ejected I think a two gave suspension should be considered. 1 Quote
NYLion Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 The Warriors will win in 6. The Kings had a glorious chance to put them away with Draymond out and let them off the mat, missed opportunity. Quote
Betrayer Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 Are they better with Draymond than without? Not so sure anymore. I'm still rooting for the Kings. As for Embiid, he got saved by Claxton's inexperience. Had Claxton stayed down and sold the groin kick like most NBA players would've done, Embiid would've been ejected and possibly suspended. Claxton has too much youthful pride - as evidenced by him flexing at Embiid when he already had 1 Tech, which may have cost BKN the game. Quote
Deleterious Posted April 21, 2023 Author Posted April 21, 2023 I don't think it has anything to do with Green. The Warriors are one of the best home teams in the league and one of the worst road teams. I think the pistons won more road games than GS did. Quote
Betrayer Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 My "not so sure anymore" wasn't directly about last night's game, but more about whether or not Draymond is actually overrated and worth the headache anymore. His defense isn't what it used to be and his assists are mostly a product of the system while the rest of his stats are just mediocre to bad (30% from three). Last night Looney and DiVincenzo had 9 and 8 assists respectively. Whoever handles the middle of the action is going to get assists because he's passing it to Steph or Klay coming off a screen. Quote
Deleterious Posted April 21, 2023 Author Posted April 21, 2023 FWIW, Toronto let Nurse go today. Woj said Udoka is the favorite to replace him. Quote
