Tigerfan6884 Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 OK, they're young, and blah, blah, but this lack of fundamentals on the base paths is particularly discouraging. That and listening to the announcers make excuses for this garbage. Quote
kdog Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 Harris has failed his first team building test with this bullpen. It's just awful. 1 Quote

Elk1331 Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 It would be nice to see some emotion from any of the players or Hinch Quote
gehringer_2 Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 This is the first season in years that I don't even want to watch. Of course I'm not sure whether Shepherd and Monroe or the batting line-up have more to do with it. Prolly about equal parts. Quote
Tigerbomb13 Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 Meet your 2023 Tigers. Same as the old Tigers, but with a ****tier pen. Quote
romad1 Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 This team is a tough watch for 9 innings. Imagine extra innings?! Quote

They have either unproven or 4A talent throughout the roster. Harris traded his bullpen for future assets and then decided not to spend on short term bullpen contracts. Hinch has probably not done a good job. But this roster is substandard. Edited April 13, 2023 by kdog Quote
mtutiger Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 They are gonna have to do some churn with the bullpen... this current mix is, to put it mildly, not working at all Quote

I'm not going to second guess Hinch on using Wingenter in a leverage situation, the guy has good stuff if he locates. But probably would have used him in the 8th and not the 9th... Lange makes me nervous, but nothing like using the guy who hasnt pitched much for the last three years in that situation Edited April 13, 2023 by mtutiger Quote

I agree, but Hinch arrived at the bottom of the 9th with the game in his hip pocket, if either Foley or Lange, especially Lange, had gone 2 innings. Wins are too scarce to just piss them away and then let Hinch off the hook. 3 2 Quote

kdog Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 I won't argue about Lange. Hinch thinks he's playing for June 1st. The team needed a win. 1 Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 I didnt watch the game because I have 2 full time jobs for the next couple of weeks, but please tell me............Did Cisnero only throw one pitch? Quote

Motor City Sonics Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 I know Hinch ain't making a gourmet meal with the groceries he currently has, but for f**k's sake, don't overcook everything. Quote
