Wouldn't find it surprising. Clarence Thomas has always transfered his large sense of grievance into a larger dose of entitlement. Edited April 6, 2023 by gehringer_2 Quote
mtutiger Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 Any time I see this thread become active again, my reaction is generally "oh no, what did they F up this time?" Sounds pretty swampy from Clarence Thomas.... shocking. Quote

CMRivdogs Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 The whole Thomas rebuttal is pure BS. Anyone with a grain of propriety would instinctively know that accepting free plane trips or vacations, even from a longtime "friend" should set off warning bells and whistles. Not to mention underwriting Thomas wife's Political Action Committee. I've known smaller market reporters who have turned down the "Goodie" packages from PGA and LPGA tournament sponsors so not to be accused of favoritism. He's a member of the country's highest court, and he doesn't understand that your "friend" offers you a gift, that it may not be technically wrong but perception matters just as much. 1 Quote

That's about as obvious as you can get at putting the lie to his current excuse. Pitiful excuse for a man. Quote
oblong Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Can’t fire him so why should he care? Seriously. What is the prospect for any ramifications? zero. 1 Quote
RatkoVarda Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 there is absolutely no reason for him to think there will be consequences for his actions - and he almost certainly correct. democrats are pussies. and MAGA know that a hearing = cash from the rubes Quote

RatkoVarda Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 same guy donated half million to Ginni Thomas's consulting group, which was funneled to Ginni Thomas in form of "salary" and he also is one of the major funders of the GOP PAC "No Labels Party" which is masquerading as a 3rd party choice for president in order to get Trump back into White House. chasfh Posted April 14, 2023 Posted April 14, 2023 I am knocked out by the very idea of a guy from the south named Crow sponsoring a black federal government official. 1 Quote

pfife Posted April 25, 2023 Author Posted April 25, 2023 It was real bad, I was listening to that on cspan. The details of the case make it so much worse. Recommend latest episode of Amicus podcast for more discussion on it. Quote
