Unless a coach is in favor of going for 2 in almost all situations, that was a dumb call. Way too early to start worrying about getting onto an even score.

There were 29 seconds left, no team is going to try anything risky there.

I just can’t believe it. They refuse to throw regardless of the situation. What the actual ****.

Can’t believe they didn’t take at least one shot at the end zone off of 1st and goal at the 9. 
 

With the way both teams rely on the run, there may be only a few possessions left for each team.  17-9 with 3 1/2 minutes left in the 3rd.

Penn State has been getting too many runs on 1st down.

It was 4th and 3 so I had wanted Penn State to go for it. 
 

Now Michigan, pinned so deep, needs at least a 1st down or two. A long minute-munching drive to make it a 2-score game is probably too much to hope for.
