Hongbit Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 I’d rather talk about the Blue Jay instead this coming L. While it is a strikingly beautiful bird, most people don’t realize they are actually one of the nastiest, unfriendly species in the bird family. They don’t play well with others and are aggressive to the point of attacking other birds even going so far as to bite their heads off. Despite their regal appearance, Blue Jays really are the giant assholes of the bird family. This meaningless bit of information will probably be more memorable than anything you see during tonight’s game. 1 Quote
theroundsquare Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 Who are the two guys on the right in that pic? Also, I read once that doves are also assholes in the bird world, notwithstanding their symbolic association with peace Quote

But they definitely do not play well with others as you mentioned. Philadelphia tried out the Blue Jays for a short bit. Quote

No lie, when I was like 5 years old we had a couple Jays in my back yard and my Grandpa warned me about them as he was attacked as a kid. That stuck with me my whole life and was always trepid around them. Of course I rarely see them anymore but they were everywhere in my childhood home. Edited April 13, 2023 by RandyMarsh Quote
RandyMarsh Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 Nevin draw a walk in his first AB but then Greene and Carpenter follow it by striking out on 6 pitches. Quote
Dtrain72 Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 It's not fair that the Tigers have had to face 12 potential Cy Young pitchers in row, on top of 12 games in a row of some of the best offenses in history...#sad Quote
Sports_Freak Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 I would rather the Tigers get blown away than to watch a deflating game blown in the 9th/10th inning like last night. Quote

We had a nest in my neighbors tree right next to our driveway. They would swoop down on us just getting out of our car. Must be very brave. Quote
Hongbit Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 Tork is going yard against Bassit. He’s not going to chase 3 bad sinkers out of the zone Quote
Dtrain72 Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 Tork is gonna strike out 3 times against Bassit Quote

Hongbit Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 What a perfect Baez inning. HR prances out of the box on a ball that stays in the park and then forgets how many outs and ends a scoring chance. I’m glad MCS isn’t watching Quote
TheWordIsBird Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 Tigers fan for four decades. This is the ugliest, least inspiring Tigers baseball that I’ve ever seen. Mercy. Sorry Al (Kaline). Sorry Ernie. Sorry Sparky. Sorry baseball fans everywhere. Quote

RandyMarsh Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 In Javy's defense I don't think he's been on 2nd base all season, probably doesn't know what to do there. 1 1 Quote

We had a family in the yard last summer and the male would land near the feeder and make red-tail hawk sounds and all the other birds would scatter. 1 Quote
mtutiger Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 It's only a sac fly, but it seems like forever since we've seen a good AB with runners in scoring position. Good for Phil's kid Quote
