mtutiger Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 (edited) Nope. Not really surprised by Garrett Hill... he probably bears the most responsibility for the blown lead last night Edited April 15, 2023 by mtutiger 1 Quote
gehringer_2 Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 (edited) Holton got off to a rocky start giving up 2 HR in each of his 1st two appearances. His last two outings were better. He K'd a bunch of guys in ST but also gave up a lot of hits.... Hill is a disappointment so far. Was hoping for a little more there. Edited April 15, 2023 by gehringer_2 Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 Very interesting to see how Ty Madden's next couple of starts go. 1 Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 if you thought Javy's mental mistakes were bad (credit to him for bouncing back strong yesterday), Dylan Bundy's was much worse. I am sure many of you are familiar with JomBoy's videos, but for those who are not, he does use the naughty words a fair amount. Quote
Tenacious D Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 (edited) No problem with Kreidler straightening himself out in Toledo, but hope there is still a short leash on Schoop. And McKinstry. Edited April 15, 2023 by Tenacious D 1 Quote
Tiger337 Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 Maton at second where he belongs (if not shortstop). Quote

kdog Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 Feel like this is a rehab start for lorenzen. They didn’t have any options in Toledo so this is it. Quote

Hill is a disappointment only to the degree you expected anything out of him. Edited April 15, 2023 by chasfh Quote
chasfh Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 The Michael Lorenzen era is off to a rocky start. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 Lorenzen looking like trash, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt since this is basically his rehab start but hopefully this type of performance isn't the norm with him. Quote
tiger2022 Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 This might be the most potent and feared Tigers lineup to appear this season. I am surprised they haven't exploded for at least 3 hits so far. Quote
chasfh Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 (edited) That was a major league 3-6-3 double play in all respects. EDIT: Fooled by the cut away to commercial. Second out is overturned. Still, great turn by TORK! and Baez. Edited April 15, 2023 by chasfh Quote
chasfh Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 (edited) Wow, how did Crawford let that tailor-made double play ball go under his legs like that? We may never know, because inexplicably, the director of the broadcast showed us two replays from cameras far, far away. But man, we have got to capitalize on this. EDIT: And we don’t. But we clawed a couple of runs back and we are still in this game. Edited April 15, 2023 by chasfh Quote
Dtrain72 Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 Would be alot cooler if Green can ever actually so something w risp more than maybe once every 5-6 games Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 In honor of the greatest athlete in American professional team sports history today. No single player in any sport faced the kind of pressure that 42 did, not just from the people who hated him and wanted to hurt him, but from the people that absolutely needed him to succeed. He carried it with dignity and buried the rage and pain so deeply that it killed him before he reached the age of 55. His incredible wife, his strength, will turn 101 in July. 1 Quote
