gehringer_2 Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 It will be really depressing if Cunningham, Duren, Ivey and Thompson are not a core that a reasonably competent GM can build a more than 30 win team around. 1 Quote

Even if injuries are the cause, they’ve got to have enough talent spread around to surpass that, right? Quote
Deleterious Posted July 19, 2023 Author Posted July 19, 2023 One of the Pistons blogs just suggested Miles Bridges as a Pistons target in 2024 free agency. How can you watch Troy Weaver talk and then think Miles Bridges could ever be a Piston? He can't go two minutes without saying he wants the right type of player, on and off the court, in Detroit. Do you really think a guy who beat his wife in front of their child is that type of guy? Quote
buddha Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 i love listening to JEIII complain that people think he's a mouthpiece for the organization. ummm...people will probably stop saying that when you criticize one thing that weaver has done. his only MILD criticism has been the bagley contract, which is the lowest of low hanging fruit. pistons writers are like pravda workers. Deleterious Posted July 20, 2023 Author Posted July 20, 2023 Nice environment for him to be around. Quote
Deleterious Posted July 20, 2023 Author Posted July 20, 2023 I wasn't aware he was offered a spot. I sort of wish he had taken it to knock the rust off before training camp. Quote
buddha Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 darko was a more productive player than stanley. Quote

Deleterious Posted July 30, 2023 Author Posted July 30, 2023 I think any top 8 pick who doesn't sign a rookie extension is a bust. Quote
buddha Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 the only place in the world where stanley wasnt a bust is inside stanley's own mind. Quote

Deleterious Posted August 5, 2023 Author Posted August 5, 2023 Quote Statistics for the scrimmage were not shared with the media, but reporters were welcomed into the gym on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, to watch Cunningham dominate both periods, beating just about every guard who was in front of him off the dribble. Quote As for Cunningham, the 6-foot-6, 220-pound guard looked fully recovered from the December shin surgery that kept him out for all but 12 games with the Detroit Pistons last season. “He looked great,” Kerr said. “The injury is clearly behind him and it’s great to see him healthy. He’s a guy who can really control the game from the point guard spot with his size and physicality.” Kerr said he asked U.S. Select Team coach Jamahl Mosley to run actions in which Cunningham would “do a little Luka (Dončić) impersonation” in high pick-and-roll and other actions in which the point guard dominates the ball. 3 Quote
Betrayer Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 Great to see. I can't wait for the season to start. Is it October yet? Quote
